These mixing bowls are well designed, sturdy, solid, heavy and good for both mixing and serving. However I was disappointed that the bottom half was not glazed. Some may like this and consider it a feature, but I disliked this and that is where these bowls lost a star. At $36 they are a very good price for ceramic dishwasher proof bowls of this quality. Personally I would not use these in a microwave, but I am sure almost everyone else would do so. They come very well packaged and you can expect them to arrive without breakages. ... show more
