  • Good one time activity
Got it for random kids house party. The four kids that were there were all fighting over it to see who can do better. After about 30 to 40 minutes everyone kind of ignored it. Good thing as a hold over item for kids to enjoy.

  • Great fun for a 2+ year old
Quality made, endless fun for 2+ year olds. There are small marbles, if you watch them if they pop out it is a great game.

  • Not a fan of the box
I wish the box was closed in. There is a whole in the box (as a part of the design, so the pieces will stick out if you don’t put them in the box a certain way. Otherwise all good.

  • Kid loves it - not the exact same game as it was in the 90s
My 5 year old loves this game, but I'm taking one star away because I've played the original and this one is more cheaply made. Once assembled, it also doesn't fit back in the box which I don't like. Your kids will still like it, but it is not exactly like the game you remember from your childhood.

  • Fun and Excitement for kids/adults of most ages!
My grandkids LOVE this game. I got one for my house to play with while they are here and they love it so much that I got one for them to have at home!

  • Fun game
A lot smaller than I thought

  • Slight changes somehow make this less fun
I know a lot of people, like me, are coming to this from that tinge of nostalgia -- remembering how fun it was to play this game, smacking the @#$! out of these plastic handles trying to get the most marbles. and yes, the immediate joy of seeing and playing will hit you like schoolhouse rocks during Saturday morning cartoons. But, in the end, I don't think this is worth it, especially at 30 bucks (12 seems like more like it) And, it's not because of any false memories, simply remembering it being more entertaining than it was. There are some key differences that make this update so much worse for specific reasons: 1) the entire board is smaller - there isn't much room for the marbles to roll around like they did. The board is also curved to a much less degree, which along with the reduced size just makes the mad dash seem like pure chaos in a boring way. the marbles don't roll and bounce and carom -- which is what made even the simple action of smacking the handle fun. 2) the marbles are not real -- they are much less substantial so again they dont have that real roll and collisions thing that made the crazy randomness a little more enjoyable. 3) The plastic is not that thick, weighty kind -- it's super cheap, bendy styled plastic which makes it almost impossible to play without also holding the entire thing with your other hand. It's just too light .. and moves around all over. 4) The hippos (as noted) are detachable -- I get why they did this, for storage and size, but two of ours never really click in and totally come off when using them, not completely but just enough for them not to function properly. 5) It's only half the size, part 2 -- there is no way 4 people can play this ... I cant even imagine how 4 5 year olds could sit around this, reach out their arms and not end up getting into some sort of dispute. So yeah, if it was 12 bucks, you'd get that one or two days of -- I played this when I was ... then it would go into that dark corner of the toy chest no one likes to think about. I'd really like to give it two stars, but those cherished memories are preventing me from dishonoring the original in such a way. ... show more
