Used this to tidy up an undercabinet light cord. Cut a 1/4" strip, 14" long to adhere a power cord to the side of a cabinet. I used lesser tape and either the tape came off the cabinet or the cord came off the tape. This stuff has EXCELLENT adhesion. Some people reviewed it and said it's too good. Too good???? It's tape, it's suppose to have great adhesion. If you're having trouble getting it off, try the Original Goo Gone, that'll work for you. For those that believe it's pricey, I guess that's relative. You can buy 3M DUCT tape that is awesome or you can buy DUCK tape for half the price and then realize the only thing it sticks to really well is .......................itself. Also as one reviewer pointed out, THIS IS NOT foam tape. Unless you consider duct tape, foam tape. So this is a true example of "you get what you pay for". Most 3M products fall into this category. Pricey, but well worth it if you need it to perform.

This is nice double-sided tape, but it is only useful for applications where you do not ever plan on taking the item off. I was hoping to use this for two main types of projects: kids' 4H posters / craft projects and CNC / woodworking projects. This tape shines at the first and fails miserably at the second. Granted, it isn't advertised for woodworking. The tape is clear, thin and sticks very well - so well, that it does not come off. I used it on a CNC project to hold a workpiece down (I regularly use double-sided tape for this purpose). It worked beautifully until the project was completed. The workpiece came off the spoilboard just fine, but I could not get the tape off the workpiece. I spent a lot of time with a chisel and scraper trying to get it off. I used denatured alcohol to help with the residue, but that turned it into an even more gooey mess. I've attached pictures of trying to get it off the wood as well as the bits that I was able to get off. This is a good tape for its intended purpose although on the pricier side. Just do not plan on ever removing it.

This double sided tissue tape by 3M is up to your expected 3M standards for function and adhesion. It should be noted that this is "tissue tape" and so being very thin is best used on very smooth surfaces. Having a negligible thickness also means that unlike foam or thicker tapes, it will not work as well on curved surfaces if one of the surfaces to bond is rigid and flat. Also, the instructions state that it should be allowed to dry for 24hrs to obtain the strongest bond so this may not be practical depending on your situation. I tried adhering some magnets for an LED fixture but did not allow enough time for curing and so the tape peeled off of my painted surface the first night. Any slight texture will also interfere with getting the best bond. I have noticed that compared with some clear double-sided tapes, this does not have a strong initial bond and preparation of your surfaces to make sure they are clean and dry is paramount. This tape does have the ability to be torn by hand and so is quick to apply, especially for paper and card crafts. It also comes packaged in a resealable plastic envelope which is good for storage. Overall, this works well but just be aware of its limitations. Also, the current price is on the high side at $15.99 for a 33ft roll so I'll give this 4 stars.

The description is misleading, as this is not "foam tape," but flat and will not contour to irregular items. That said, it has excellent adhesion, can be cut to fit smaller items, and is very useful for putting up posters (with or without frames), large cardboard cutouts, whiteboards, corkboards, and other items. I have also used it to position items while I drilled holes and then put in permanent screws. All in all, a great product.

Who doesn't need double sided tape from time to time? I like that this is resistant to water, too so it won't immediately come apart when wet. This multipurpose tape is good for setting up displays, science fair, helping with photo mats in frames...so many uses. As with most adhesives, it's probably not the best for outdoor or the heat of the day as they tend to break down in the heat. Otherwise it is very useful.

This tape is a good size, which is nice. It comes in a decent sized roll as well. It is a bit hard to use, as it is quite thin and the white peel off is not easy to well...peel off. You really gotta work at this stuff. I also feel it is a bit pricey.

Really tough tape sticks to almost anything and stays. Only issue ai had was trying to get the clear plastic cover off. That was almost impossible without a razor blade to find an edge to lift up. Other then that fight great tape.
