This one is a more expensive version of HARDELL rechargble caliper. However, it is a good caliper because it provide accurate measurement. It is matel; the edge is not soften because the measurement gadget slights on the metal bar. It works well. The display is easy to read.

I struggled with spending the extra $$$ because I only need it to take incidental measurements, so I wanted economy. SO glad I chose this one. I LOVE the fact that it can be charged with a USB-C instead of batteries (they are so frustrating when they peter out), and the backlight is awesome. The calipers are heavy, which means they feel well-built. I have had them and used them for a couple of months now, and have had 0 issues.

The media could not be loaded. This is a heavy caliper! I've had the HF $20 special for a few years until I gave it away in hopes for a better one. This might be it! You really feel the weight of it once you take it out of the box, I'm still blown away by it. It feels solid! A good quality metal, says stainless... Haven't put a magnet to it yet. I didn't know it came with a cute little ruler, bonus. Everyone says the little thumb wheel is loose, which it is. But it provides a good solid roll when you use it to move up and down the rule slide. I like that it's rechargable, the only down side is that you must charge it, and you can't simply change out the battery if you need it in a hurry. But then how often are you in a hurry for a caliper? You don't need an expensive cut block for testing accuracy, just find a good quality Allen wrench that's listed in mm to test it. So far it's accurate out of the box. I didn't even have to turn it on with the button, I just moved the wheel up the slide and it activated. Without counting the time, it seems to be a 5 minute shut off timer on the screen. Each of the buttons are a good solid click, they scroll through each function well. Can't beat the price for this well made device. For advice with these tools, treat them gently as they are a measuring device with feelings. But seriously, being a precise instrument with digital display, don't just toss it on the work bench or in a drawer. Set it down with care and keep it in the box.

Positives: ● Seems very sturdy, but slides easily, as it should. ● Keeping a charge for up to 6 mo. a definite benefit. ● Worked well on the first day/first charge. Will have to use it more to add any detailed opinions about it. Negative/Could be Improved: ● The case is hard plastic only with no soft or absorbent lining. All past calipers came in a case with molded or cut foam insert that helped protect it from ambient moisture

Works great, very accurate, but as others stated, a battery level indicator would be nice. UPDATE: Best RETURN-TO-ZERO of all my $30 price range Calipers. R-T-0 = Slide out to 6" and back serveral times and returns to ZERO most of the times, where others seem to change there return values each time.

Exceeded my expectations thus far and the quality seems to be there as well. Measured a couple of copper pipes and the diameter measurements were spot on. Product feels solid in the hand, the gauge is real easy to read (backlighting too) and caliper slides smoothly. Hopefully the rechargeable battery will hold as that could be the only long-term weak point I can see.
