Having used these types of calipers for 40 years in my small company, I have seen many crappy ones. But this one is nice, The first thing I look for is the accuracy, bought three of these so far and they are good out to +/-.002 inch at 6 inches, not bad. The next thing is the size of the display, big enough for most anyone here to read without glasses. I also like the fact that they turn off automatically (others that I bought said they would but did not). I hate it when I pick one up and have to change the battery, after one month, they still have the original batteries. Simple enough to use, 1 on/off button, 1 metric/inch button, 1 zero button. I do not like any other functionality, it inevitably wastes my time while trying to take a simple measurement. I am old, getting to where I just like simple, I did however, get rid of my flip phone a while ago with no regrets.

Does what it should and the accuracy matches my other much more expensive caliper. I use this to take out with me and leave the expensive one in the shop. Only con I have, and it may be just the unit I had received, but switching between inch/mm can be tricky. Switching from inch to mm, I have to hold down the button while turning off the caliper and then turn it back on and release. It doesn't always work on the first try as well. That may be the way it was designed or just a flaw with the one I received but for what I need this unit for, it works fine. The finish is better than expected and the measurements are accurate enough but I would probably buy a different brand if I need another budget caliper in the future.

Works well and seems to be decent quality but does not measure the full 12" as described. I can only get 11.599". Came with hard case, two batteries and a 6" steel ruler.
