This review is written with regards to using it the Sony WH-XB900N headphones; I know it will fit other models as well, but that's the set I got it for. This case fits the headphones fine. That said, when I received it, after putting my headphones in it, I also tried them in the case that came with my Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones, and they fit perfectly in there as well (I probably should have tried that first). If you see the attached picture, you'll note that the XM3 case is significantly smaller (although slightly thicker) than this case. That's because to use the XM3 case, you need to fold the headphones up. I'm not familiar with all the headphones this case is said to be compatible with, so it's possible that some of those models don't fold. However, if you do have the 900, you might consider if an XM3 case might be better suited for it. At any rate, unlike some other cases designed for these headphones, it doesn't have an insert. That's not really a disadvantage, as the shape of the case itself holds the phones tightly. And without the insert, it leaves some additional room inside for cables or a USB battery pack. I will note that the materials that the case is made from are not as good as what Sony offers. But they seem perfectly serviceable.

I was delighted when this case arrived, and it exceeded my expectations! I ordered this because we often take weekend getaways, and as a serious night owl, I tend to go to bed after my husband, who is an early-to-bed, early-to-rise person. I like watching something when he's asleep so I always am in need of some kind of listening device. Because my very comfortable and well cherished Sony headphones have movable parts, I never wanted to travel with them. I was always afraid of breakage, until now. As advertised, it is a hard case shell with a felt-like interior that contains a stretchy mesh pocket for chargers, cords, etc. The pocket was larger than I expected, which is always a plus. There is a four-fingered strap on the outside for carrying, but I don't expect to really need that. It also has a two-zipper system for closure. When I first tried to open the case, I was slightly alarmed. I could not get the zipper to move to open it. I tugged a few times then looked closely at it and it appeared on track. I gripped it closer to the base of the zipper and it acted like it never was stuck to begin with. Not sure what the deal was with it, but it works fine now. My headset's width fits perfectly into the case and lays flat. However, mine are not as tall as the headphones pictured, so there is a space between my headset and the top of the case. I'll just pack something like a scarf on top. If you travel with it, just understand that it will take up some space in the suitcase, due to it being a hard-shell case. Still, I really do recommend it for traveling with Sony headsets of this kind. All in all, I am very pleased with it. It's an excellent value and will cost much less to buy this for protection than having to buy another Sony headset when it breaks during travel.
