3-year-old granddaughter loved it and 6-year-old sister able to play with and help. Dad too. They were occupied for a long time because there are many possible variations. It seems maybe you can add to it to make it even more complex? Not sure. Great gift, NOT just for boys!

    • Does not interchange with other marble runs
I purchased this hoping my kids could interchange with our other Hape marble run to create a large marble run unit or more versions/layouts. The block pieces are different sizes and don’t line up so it runs as its own separate system. It works great by itself though.

    • Only the solid blocks are actually wood
The only wood parts are the solid blocks, unlike other wooden Hape sets. The rest is all cheap plastic. Going to return and get a true wood set.

Hape - yes a Hape of CRAP!!! I’ve a 4 yr old who loves marble run and puts other sets together easily. This is a waste of time and money. Honestly don’t bother. It was literally glued together so you can’t even use it! You couldn’t make the set design because it was literally stuck fast. I prized them apart because my son was excited to try it.
