Passed the test of two weeks' of NYC commuting and schlepping a laptop, a heavy textbook, notebook, daily essential items, a full water bottle, sweaty yoga clothes. The design of the bag is functional and easy-to-get-into on the go. The fabric is nice and looks finished and well-made; it was also easy to wipe clean. Plenty of pockets and the top opening gives the bag ample room. When loaded, the backpack sits comfortably and adjusts well to the back, providing hours of 'comfortable schlepping', if there is such a thing. Also withstood light rain and kept my items dry. The only issue I had was a thin scarf got stuck in the zipper and in my haste to unlodge the fabric from the zipper, the zipperhead came off. I have only had this a few days and I am in love. I needed a backpack due to shoulder and neck pain from my tote bag. This bag can handle all my teacher gear: planner, notebook, book, folders with papers to grade, pencil pouch, make up bag, water bottle, umbrella, Baggalini purse, graphing calculator, and phone. Even with all this, it is still fairly slim on the profile and feels lightweight--no pain! My favorite feature is that is stands alone and stays open so no more fussing about with frumpy bags. The zippers seem sturdy and the stitching is good. I like the number of pockets: not so many that I forget where things are but enough to keep everything from becoming clutter salad at the bottom of the bag. The green color is lovely, a deep teal green with a lighter mint panel. Liner is grey stripe as in the description. I am excited to use this and excited about the quality for a low price. Using this pack for travel and LOVE it! Good quality, lightweight and well-designed for the excellent price point. I like that it's freestanding, unlike a traditional backpack, with a large top opening and interior pockets for computer, tablet, etc. Easy access to main compartment without having to dig around for items. Two ample sized water bottle pockets on exterior are perfect. Three zippered front pockets are well organized for smaller items. The only negative is that the two front pockets have a single zipper and access would be improved by a double zipper like the top opening. Highly recommend. ... show more

This is a great backpack. It looks good and professional. I don't feel like I look like a child carrying my stuff into work. I bought the green one, and I really like that it is just a little different than the traditional black or blue that usually signals professional attire, but I'm going to probably buy the blue or black one as well for more formal meetings. As far as functionality goes, it is great. The top opening bag is wonderful and you can pack so much stuff it is really amazing. It is also so nice to have side pockets in the main compartment which a lot of backpacks don't offer and you suffer without a way to organize. I know what people are saying about the pack falling over from the weight in front pockets, but I really like the many pockets on the front, again, to help with organize. I also like the look of this backpacks front pockets. Some similar backpacks have boxy looking fronts or are wasting space by only having a lower pocket. I just lay the backpack in a kind of reclining position when I sit it down and it balances pretty well. I really feel like when I'm wearing it the load is balanced well and it is snug, but very comfortable on my back. I have disc problems in my neck and my shoulder can act up. It has been "triggered" by some other backpacks that I have tried usually because they are slouchy and the load hangs and pulls. This pack has good structure that prevents that and I find it very comfortable. I'm a 55 year old 5'3" female. If I could say one sort of a hoped improvement, it would only be that I would be very willing to pay 50, 60, or even 80 bucks for the same design that had a bit better quality. Not that the quality is really lacking especially for the price - honestly this is a steal, but I have had one snap break and would pay more for a pack that has better quality. However, I can't say that I am not pleased in any way. This is a great backpack. I'm going to show my daughter when she comes home from college and encourage her to get one.
