This topper was pretty thin, which I expected. We're using it over a memory foam topper as an added layer, so we didn't need this to be very thick. It was much smaller than we expected, though! Even if we didn't have the memory foam underneath it, it barely stretches to fit our queen mattress and the sides have to be adjusted often. The top padded part also doesn't reach the edges of the mattress, so I can feel a couple inches on the edge of the bed when I'm sleeping where there's a "lip". I don't think I'd choose this topper again but it would be a pain to get back in the packaging to return it, so we'll be keeping it for now. I think the manufacturer should consider adding a couple of inches to the width of the topper so it covers the entire mattress. ... show more

I think if the mattress were not terrible to begin with this topper would be sufficient. It did help make it not like sleeping on a piece of plywood but we ended up putting the egg crate pad under this one to help. Do not get this thinking you will lay on a feathery bed that did not start with some feathers! It fits well with the deep elastic and will not slide off. ... show more

I love this mattress topper. It makes my twin xl dorm bed feel like my memory foam queen size bed back home. I love lying in bed because of it, and it makes it too easy to skip class :((. As someone who has bought various toppers before, ranging from egg crate foam toppers, flat memory foam toppers, and down alternative pocketed toppers (that are more like an extra sheet on a mattress).... I honestly didn't expect much after I got this topper out of the packaging. It wasn't very thick, so I imagined I would sink and it's contents would push around my body rendering it useless. But that is not the case. The inch and a half plushness may as well be 3 inches. Lying on my bed with this topper, it feels so plush... It has brought my mattress back to life and my bed is more comfortable than it ever was. I did buy this on sale... if you find it on sale, you should go ahead and get it. It is worth every penny and more! I will come back and buy this anytime I need a topper in the future, for sure! 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 Edited to add: I notice a lot of reviewers that weren't happy with the topper have it inside out. Make sure the tag is on the outside. The gel memory foam should be on top and the down filling should be on the bottom. I think the down filling at the bottom and the gel foam on top is why it's so plush, the down filling holds the gel foam up. This is why it doesn't spread and stays plush under your body.
