This is a fabulous piece of luggage. It wheels beautifully and I actually use it for walking assistance. I often get compliments on this carry-on from flight attendants who know a great travel accessory when they see one. I have traveled extensively with this case for over 2 years...both domestically and internationally. It still looks and operates like it did on the 1st trip. I love this underseat bag! I fly on American Airlines and it easily fits underneath the seats, including the aisle. Please note that it will not fit under the seat on United Airlines, in my experience. I’ve searched everywhere for a wheeled, hard sided, underseat bag and this was the only bag that checked all of my boxes. It is very lightweight and maneuverable.     • Great bag but…

Generally, this 14” bag is great and most people will love it if they are looking for a small hard sided spinner bag. In this style bag, I originally thought it was great that it had the cloth partition between the halves. However, I bought the bag to carry a CPAP which is 5”X6”X8” and it’s not great for that. Like most bags with retractable handles, you lose a little space inside where the handles retract into the bag but, normally, you can tuck your smaller items between the rails. On a bigger bag, I don’t think much of that but, for the use I bought the bag for, it just makes it worse by elevating the main item (CPAP) in the bag past the midpoint where the cloth portion zips. The CPAP is too big to fit between those “rails” so it kind of sits on top of that part which makes it too tall to close the bag if the cloth partition is closed for the upper half of the bag (it would still be too tall even if it didn’t lose space from sitting on those). I end up having to unzip the cloth lid partition to use the full depth of the suitcase to accommodate the 5” height of my CPAP. Because I can’t close the partition, it makes the top half of the bag unusable for other items since, if you open the bag with the partition unzipped, anything you managed to stuff in that upper half falls out of the suitcase. I can make it work but it’s too much of a hassle. I wish Hanke had this exact size 14” bag with a lid-style opening like their other bags so you could use the full depth of the suitcase. Hanke does make a 16” version with the lid-style opening that I would have bought, but it’s too wide to fit under the seat on the plane because the other dimension too wide. With all that said, if you don’t have anything that is taller than about 3.5” at it’s smaller dimension, you will love this little bag. Very durable and, if not for my challenges with the one item I primarily needed the bag for, I would be very happy with the bag. I am still giving it 5 stars because it will be great for most people. I will continue to search for a hard sided underseat spinner that opens on the front edge so that I can fit my CPAP and medications in a hard sided underseat bag. ... show more

Out of the box - Pros - Zippers work smoothly and seem sturdy; Telescoping handle mechanism extends/retracts easily and does not feel loose or “flimsy”; wheels roll/spin easily and seem sturdy; PVC shell seems durable, offering great protection; Inside is well designed offering options that will keep things neat and tidy. Cons - Advertised Length/Width/ Height Measurements (12.4”L x 8.46”W x 15.59”H) do not include; raised zipper protecting rubber bumpers, raised zipper pull locking mechanism, raised top handle, full length of wheels (floor to bottom of case). The advertised Volume measurement however is close, only .75L under the actual Volume of 23.75L (acc’g to my outside case/box ONLY measurements) My actual outside dimensional measurements, including the above mentioned details, are: 13.5”L x 9”W x 17”H (from hard/flat floor surface to highest point on case [handle]). The outside case/box ONLY measurements NOT including details mentioned above are: 12.4”L x 8.5”W x 13.75”H. To calculate Liter, volume capacity of case/box ONLY, measure L x W x H x .0163871 and you find the capacity at 23.75 Liters. Although measuring inside dimensions is best I measured the outside not including the above mentioned details. Actual color “Burgundy” is much more muted compared to product picture. We’ll see how it holds up under several trips and handling under normal conditions. ... show more
