Description

The Hang N’ Bang daisy chain weapon and gear hanger is a great option for hanging your hunting gear in the tree. The two-pronged bow/gun hook stays flat against the tree with little movement and is easily moved around the strap by pulling it out of the daisy chain loops and placing it back in where desired. 3 S-type carabiners allow you to clip in other pieces of gear and hang them where you need them. Another great benefit of the daisy chain hanger, is the ability to hang your weapon up high and your pack down low, out of your possible shooting lane and right at your fingertips. The tail of the strap will hang down the tree and S-type carabiner can be used to secure a pack or other piece of gear at the desired height. Secure the strap with the optional G-hook or simply slide the tail end of the strap through one of the daisy chain loops. The weight of a pack on the tail will keep the strap in place. We’ve all fumbled with a pack in the tree stand trying to find the best place to hang it – On the back side of the tree? Difficult to access…On side of the tree? I wanted a cost-effective solution to hang my gear in the tree when I’m saddle hunting. This fits the bill, but I did make some mods because the tree attachment methods weren’t great. That said, the quality of the hanging bang strap is apparent out the gate, The stitching and strapping seem like they will last. The bow hook and carabiners are pretty standard, nothing special. Attachment Mods: I made a mod that I’d like to share here that improves attachment to the tree. I took the G hook buckle and removed it from the strap it came with. I cut the last loop on the gear strap, close to the stitching so I could use the long strap piece and run that piece of strap through the G hook, making sure I melted it to prevent fraying. After I cinched the strap on the G hook I’ve been secured the flap with lashing. Now I can use the G hook to attach to any loop on the gear strap according to the tree size. ***After a two seasons of uses, I recognize I need to improve my mod, as in I need to extend the strap on the G hook to make cinching easier. I used it all season and never saw any frayed stitches or signs of wear even though it held the weight of a backpack and a heavy rifle for hours on end day after day. No need to spend more money on another product when this one works just as well and comes with some functional extras!     • Great way to hang your gear without damaging trees.
I like it once I'm in the tree. I'm a saddle hunter though, and while this is very effective as a gear hanger, it is a little bulkier than I'd like. For saddle climbers, the first thing you do once you get to hunting height is to hang your gear, so this item has to go up along with you in a pocket or pouch, after which you can pull up your backpack (if you left it on the ground). That means that your gear hanger should fit in a pocket or pouch so that you can easily grab and deploy it. This does that, but it's a little bulky for my tastes. There are less bulky alternatives out there, but for now, for me, I'll continue to carry this. It does work really well and has a lot of flexibility in how you use it. ... show more
