Now, when Captain Pegleg Pete first laid his good eye on these shoes, he thought they were the missing treasure he'd been searching for. With their sleek design and magical promises of lightning-fast speed, he knew he had to give 'em a try. But here be the funny part, me mateys! As soon as Captain Hook slipped his wooden peg into those shoes, he went from landlubber to lightning bolt! It was as if the wind itself had decided to help him out. The sheer speed of his one-legged dash would make even the mermaids jealous. This is my second pair of Ghost 14's, and I use them mostly for walks and runs - not just wearing them around, but exercise. These fit me well and work well with my gait. I was fitted with my first pair of Ghosts at a local running store, which I highly recommend. This is why I am not going to say "oh, these are the best shoes" - these are great shoes for ME but you need to figure out what's good for YOU. However, that same local store was charging over $40 more than Amazon for these shoes so when I wore out the first pair, I opted to replace them here. I'll go buy something else from them to assuage my guilt... Now, one thing I can say is nobody's gonna miss you in these if you go with the green color. The color is intense enough to make a highlighter jealous. They seem to have an inner radiance. I'm pretty happy with this because I am out at dawn and dusk frequently and I find being hit by cars to be inconvenient.

This was a gamble as I am pretty loyal to the Nike Pegasus, which I love. But after walking in it and wearing it daily to work, I can say this shoe lives up to the hype of its loyal fans. I take walks, not runs, and this shoe feels great. Very comfortable. Not as narrow in the midfoot/waist of the shoe as the Nike Pegasus, however this will allow me to wear a thicker sock in the colder months upcoming. Toe box is roomy and runs true to size. Happy with this Brooks model.

I have shoes varying from 10.5 to 11.5, depending on the manufacturer. So you may need to try a size up with these which I ended up doing since the first pair was too tight. But these are simply amazing. I've never had a shoe with more support and cushioning than this. Walking with these on is NOT anything like walking with any other pair of shoes. So easy on the feet, far less impact even when moving quickly. I'll likely replace the laces with the type that are permanently there without tying, but other than that, there is nothing about this shoe I don't like. Great support, great cushioning, the soles are nicely done and are giving good traction.

I have never had Brooks shoes before but had heard that they were the best. After wearing these I would say that is 100% accurate. These shoes are possibly the most comfortable shoe I have ever owned and they make my afternoon jogs feel way better on my feet. I was having some foot pain before and my back was hurting after running with my old shoes. My brother told me about Brooks and the problems I had before are in the rear view mirror. I am so happy with this purchase!

I work in a hospital for 10 hours a day and need comfortable shoes since I am running around on my feet all day. I usually wear Asics since I have found them to be the most comfortable and supportive. I wanted to try something different just to mix it up. I still love my Asics but wanted some variety. I decided to try Brooks cause my co-workers highly recommend them. I just received these Brooks running shoes today, and so far, they fit well, feel very comfortable and supportive. I'm going to keep the Men's Ghost 14 in my rotation.

I got it primarily as a walking shoe. It looked casual enough in gray to wear with almost anything. Asics discontinued my favorite walking shoe the Gel-Kahana, and this is the closest replacement I could find. They are almost if not as comfortable as my Asics were, slightly different fit, but I'm happy with these.

On my third pair of Ghost 14's provided I stretch I have no heel pain with these sneakers. I am a senior who walks 3+ miles a day, more than satisfied with this sneaker...don't understand what a neutral sole really means, but whatever it does it works.
