I purchased this because I was looking for a lightweight long sleeve shirt to wear under my scrubs. I usually wear a size small, but will order a size medium if I'm looking for a looser fit (for reference I'm 5'6 125 pounds.) I purchased the size small in pink and found this to be too big but also too short in the torso and arms. When compared to my size small Cherokee shirt, it is larger but the torso and arms are shorter. The arms from the wrist are 23" to the seam, 27" to the collar, and width from under the armpits is 18", and the length from the front collar to bottom is 21". It was soft and lightweight without being see through, but unfortunately the fit wasn't right for me. If you have a shorter torso and arms, this shirt is for you!

I wear a lot of black and with the upcoming cold weather, needed to stock up on long sleeved black shirts. These Hanes tees are perfect for my needs. The sleeves and torso are both the perfect length. The cotton fabric is thick, warm, soft and comfortable. It washes perfectly. No shrinking and no color bleed onto other clothes at all. No fading so far, and I have had these for a few months now. Because they are Hanes, they are very high quality and the price was great.

I like to wear shirts under tees, as I'm always cold. I used to buy all my shirts from Victoria's Secret, but they've discontinued the nice crew necks they used to sell, and I'm running out of the stock I have. I like a fitted tee, not too tight, and definitely not too see-through. I thought I'd try the Hanes version. The colors I've bought are not see-through. They definitely are dense. They have some great colors to choose from, and the bright colors really pop. Since reviews said they run a little small, I tried Large at first. I'm usually a Medium (8-10), and the larges were way too big. They were baggy, so I can't wear shirts on top. Then I tried the Medium, and the Medium is still not as fitted as I'd like, but I can wear tee shirts on top. There's one thing I've found with the Hanes shirt, though, that makes me not want to buy anymore (I have four right now). They're itchy. I've washed them several different ways, and no way I've tried has changed the result. They scratch against my chest, and I have been a bit hive-y after wearing them. They're a good price for what they are, but I'll be looking elsewhere next time.

Ordered twice within the last two months - February - April 2017. Each time got entirely different t-shirts. First order was for colors: light pink, dark pink, white. Second order was for colors: light pink, dark pink, white, blue, purple. In the first order the shirts were thinner, larger and did not shrink a bit after the wash. Second set, the shirts were thicker, they shrink a ton after the wash from size XL to size M or so all things being equal (the same wash cycle -eco warm, the same dry cycle - air fluff). The colors are also different, in the first batch the light and dark pinks are not the same as were. I would say that amazon lacks the consistency of the product and it is very frustrating for repeating orders. If it were from amazon sellers then I would understand that could happen but both orders were "ship and sold by Amazon". I don't like the way the second batch the new one feels, the shirts feel less like 100% cotton and more like a blend, regardless of the stamp that it is pure cotton. You might want to take this into consideration while ordering or try few different orders from them from different listings.

Purchased several of these for my mom in an assisted care facility. She's 4'10" about 115 pounds - very petite but curvy. I ordered large sizes because of her body shape and because anything cotton will shrink. (Even when it says pre-shrunk!) What arrived looks more like a medium - definitely for people without many curves. These fit so-so. I'll probably resort to buying things off clearance racks from now on and doing alterations myself. Laid flat, the shirt measures 20" across just under the arms. Sleeves from the top shoulder seam are 25". Hanes is one of the few companies with clothes that sometimes work for petite women. The only other one is Land's End, but they're expensive. These are thin shirts, not necessarily see-thru, and very fitted for women's clothing. As in, not only does it run small but it really does the hourglass shape if you want to show off your figure. At least the sleeves won't have to be rolled up. I'm praying they really don't shrink because there's not much give to the fabric. It's very stiff. Purple is true to color shown by seller despite my bad pics.

When these shirts (I bought 4) first arrived, they fit great. After washing, they seemed a bit stiff but, were still 'ok'... not great but, would serve the purpose. Once washed again, the shrinkage became obvious. Even stretching and line drying didn't help. With each wash, they get smaller and smaller. Now, after only 3 washes, they're considerably too short, tight in the sleeves and snug in the mid-section. The colors are accurate and they're well sewn but, that's hardly helpful when they're now too small to wear! Luckily, I just found some nicer long-sleeve crew-neck shirts (for less than $5) at Walmart and will stick with them. Softer, warmer, longer body and nicer color choices. Wish I'd have tried there first!
