These shorts are a great value, very comfortable, and the fit is true! I bought one pair to try and ended up buying three more pairs in other colors. I wear them for working out or running errands around town. The quality of the fabric seems nice and washes/drys quite well. I haven't had any snags or picks from wearing, keys, cell phone, wallet, etc. in the pockets, which are quite deep and nice. I agree with several comments from other reviews: 1) The inner drawstring is indeed VERY long! To the point that I thought it was going to hang out the bottom leg of the shorts! It also tangles up with things in the washer/dryer! This is the only drawback I find about the shorts. 2) I've been wearing the shorts for a couple of weeks and wash/dry a lot; I don't know that the fabric will hold up forever - time will tell. But for this great price, I don't particularly care. If they wear out in a year, then no brainer to replace at this great price point! 3) I don't feel that the fabric is so sheer or see through, that I am uncomfortable. However, in all the colors, you can definitely tell if you are wearing underwear, thong, a jockstrap, or commando. The lines or lack of lines are very pronounced as others have said. It's not indecent, but if you are modest about such things, you might not feel comfortable. Me, I could care less! It's a great buy and for every day work out or wear - try them! I think you will like them! An affordable and good value from Hanes!

Pros Good general purpose sports shorts, easy clean Cons I bought 2 sizes to test, L and XL. L was a bit fitted at the legs but right at the waist, and XL was too large at the legs. Drawstring waist on XL makes it adjustable.

I bought these men's gym shorts with high hopes for a comfortable and functional workout gear, and in many aspects, they delivered. They are comfortable, well-fitting, and perfect for my gym sessions. The material is breathable, which is excellent for workouts. However, my excitement turned to disappointment when the drawstring came all the way out in the washer during the first wash. This design flaw was frustrating, as the drawstring is essential for ensuring a secure fit. Having to re-thread it was an inconvenience I didn't expect. Overall, these gym shorts are great for workouts, but the issue with the drawstring coming out so easily is a significant drawback. If that aspect is improved, they would be nearly perfect.

These shorts are lightweight and comfortable. The shorts have tiny little air holes to keep you cool while exercising. The shorts launder well and are true to size. I have a 35” waist and ordered a large but may have able to get by with a size smaller the shorts have an internal drawstring that allows you to make the waist tighter. The shorts have two side pockets that are deep enough to place a cell phone. After a few washings, the color has not faded at all. I’m 5’10” and the shorts come down to my knees. So far, seems to be a very good choice.

Your gym shorts will never fall down again because Hanes shorts have a built in drawstring that can loop over your head while you wear them. Don't worry about a flimsy waistband! The string around your neck is comfortable and if you need more, just keep pulling.

They are a nice pair of shorts with pockets. They aren't the greatest when carrying a cell phone, but I generally use them on a treadmill where I can put the phone in a cupholder.
