SCRATCHY FABRIC. Literally bought 2 of the exact same shirts in Jan 2018 and this fabric is very scratchy. I’ve washed them 4 times and they haven’t softened up. One of them doesn’t have “Hanes” printed on the collar so I’m pretty sure some of these are knock off copies. Very disappointed.

I bought two of the XL sized gold colored 100% cotton Hanes shirts ($6.47 each) for working out at home, as I hate synthetic shirts when I am working out and cooling down. I just washed both shirts for the first time and as I was folding them I noticed each shirt had a set of identical holes through the front and back, underneath the right arm, per the photos provided. Were these discounted because they were damaged? That isn’t mentioned in the description for sure. Amazing how many defective things are sold on Amazon nowadays, on a similar tact I recent bought a 128 GB thumb drive that only had 115 GB of useable memory (for example). Regardless, the shirts fit and will serve their purpose of home use. It isn’t worth the hassle to send them back as my intent in buying them was rudimentary to begin with. Shame on Hanes though for selling these shirts as new, with assumed quality controlled inspection/certified prior to sale as “new”, when in fact they should have never left the factory. ... show more

Ordered three shirts from Clothingshoponline. The size selector said 4XL was available for all three. I normally do 3XL to fit my shoulders so 4XL would be awesome for sleeping. I received TWO XLs and a SMALL!?!? I mean I can see grabbing a 3XL by mistake but a SMALL?? The fabric of each shirt is VERY scratchy and super thin. The tags may read 100% cotton but these are more like poly than any cotton I’ve ever seen. Do yourself a favor and just RUN! Run FAR away from these shirts! ... show more

Having ordered maybe 30 t shirts on line, I have my preferences. The Hanes "tagless" shirts are good. They make more than one line of tagless garments, however, so be careful. This one is all cotton, but it's a bit scratchy until washed a few times. I have a promotional t shirt like this that I've had for 10 years and it's still just fine. Being all cotton, these do shrink, and I wear them mainly for work, so I order xlarge and expect them to shrink to more like a large, which they do nicely. ... show more

Over all these t-shirts are what a t-shirt should be. My gold one is bright, as it should be, and the brown one is brown, not to light or to dark. The material is not see through like most t-shirts are these days, and not over priced. Tag less is always a plus! The description says preshrunk, but don't put them in a dyer or they will shrink up a bit more. I ordered large shirts but they're still a tad on the small size. The only reason for the 4 stars. I would buy them again and recommend them. You might want to buy a size larger if you want a more roomy fit. ... show more

These are what I settled on for work shirts (black and blue, some will get logos from a local print shop) because after trying maybe 10 other affordable shirts, these seem to work best. I buy XLarge and wash/dry them hard. It takes 2 runs to do the basic shrinking, and after that they seem to hold size well. The cotton is not very soft, and is a bit scratchy at first, but improves with washing. I have a logo shirt of the same series I've had for 15 years now--still fits fine. Also tried cheaper black ones but the hems were terrible, and have a number of Xlarge same brand that are a bit softer but fit rather loosely. ... show more

    • Runs small
The shirt runs smaller than others from the same manufacturer I have purchased. This may be an issue with the seller. The seller offered a small refund that didn't cover the costs. The seller Garment Avenue was very difficult to deal with.

This is a very small medium. Does not fit. Company allows returns but charges you for the return postage. Not worth the money
