This is a good net for beginners. I say that because it doesn't have a lot weight to it so as you're learning to throw it won't wear your arm out as fast as your throwing it.

Watched too much YouTube and now I can cast in my living room like a real amateur. I feel like this thing is a deal... it seems like I can make a nice circle... the netting hasn't bundled or twisted or gotten knotted... The net gap width seems quite appropriate for the bait I'm after. Comes in a storage bin with thread to fix it and I guess a net-repair plastic "needle" to whatever... weave? a repair. Weights are solid, and I can't believe I haven't tangled this thing in practice! I'm happy and suggest this to all fellow beginners. I'm not an expert but I did watch 20 minutes of YouTube and see no flaws in this unit.

The media could not be loaded. This is a fine net. It is larger than I expected but that is OK. I need to practice throwing it in order to get the round circular fanning effect that catches the most fish. This net would be handy for catching shrimp in the Low Country of SC as it is the perfect size for shrimping. It is also the right size for 3"-5" shad and possibly smaller minnows. I threw it a few times but wasn't able to fan properly it without practice. A cast net is easy to use once you get the hang of it. Upon retrieving the net it pulled through the middle without kinking up.
