Connect the wired controller & the AV cable to the handheld game console; Ⅱ. Connect the red terminal of the AV cable to the red terminal of the television (AUDIO); Ⅲ. Similar in form factor to the original gameboy. If my memory serves me, the original may have been a bit taller and narrower and a touch thicker. But that may be 40+ year old man-hands not being in synch with my 30 year old memories. It has pretty much every classic NES game I could think of off the top of my head as I scrolled through the options. They can't publish the list, of course, but if you want to know about a game and it was made for the NES, chances are the answer is YES it has it. My only complaint so far is that you have to pick between english and chinese every time you turn it on. Not a big deal, though. Also, the button configuration is a bit different. On the italian-plumber tubes and turtles game, there is a button for short jump and one separate for long jump, with the separate button for run vs walk.     • Great stocking stuffer
Ok, I am a total child of the late 80s - early 90s so of course I love the original Super Mario Brothers from the NES so this was the primary driver of my purchase, but I also saw some people mention that there are some other games that I loved so I had to give this thing a try. I own an original Gameboy Color and although this device is probably 1/4 the weight, in many ways I think it is better. Not only because it has a ton of games, but because it is backlit and you can play in low light. My only gripe is that some of the games actually repeat themselves. My device didnt truly come with 400 different games. Some of them were installed twice (maybe by accident?). Its not a lot of games, but there is a handful that were duplicated / repeated. Now to the games: there are a ton of games on here but many I have never heard of. But here is a list of the highpoints that people will probably be interested in: Donkey Kong Donkey Kong JR Donkey Kong (#3-7) Super Mario Bros Mario 14 Super Mario Bros 3 Dr Mario Mario Bros TMNT Tournament Fighter Double Dragon 2 & 3 Mortal Kombat (this is not what you think it is. Its 8 bit and not like the arcade version we once played as kids) Mortal Kombat IV (this is not what you think it is. Its 8 bit and not like the arcade version we once played as kids) Excite Bike Pac Man Tetris 2 Goonies Paper Boy Spider Man 1-2-3 For the price, this is definitely worth the money.     • It’s cheap so why not
I haven’t played too much of it after my annoyance with Super Mario 3.. Silly, but true fans should understand.. In Super Mario when he runs into something he shouldn’t, he shrinks completely. In Super Mario 3, he should only shrink 1 level (e.g., flying Mario is still big, rather than starting over); however, in Super Mario 3 on the game he is completely small again. Also, it sometimes goes without pressing, like it’s stuck. So that basically kills you or makes you completely small. Also, battery life is half of what it says. Oh and one more thing.. games are definitely duplicated. It’s not 400 like it says. With that being said, that’s all I’ve done because I bought it for my 7 year old. I love Nintendo, but it doesn’t look like I’ll be playing it much. For only $20, it was worth it to see if my kid can play something that isn’t a touch screen, and we’ll know if the switch will be worth investing the money in. ... show more

Bought for the kid so he has something to do in the car. Made it one day before the charging port broke and the game wouldn’t turn on.

    • Good value but the games could be better
Really good value for the price. Some classic games but there are some big games not included. I would say maybe 20 games worth playing. But for the price this is is made really well and fun to play. Perfect for waiting I. Line somewhere or just have 10 minutes. Cool idea for a present

    • Bad delivery person
My kids love it.. just make sure your delivery people are dropping offon the right porch cause I did get mine but had to find it LUCKY the delivery person leaves a picture and I was able to find it located at my neighbors house and blessings to her cause of this mistake if my neighbor and wasn't cool she could've taken my package and been dishonest about it .. Then I would've been messed out of my money.... But everything else was great... JUST PLEASE BE CAREFUL CAUSE EVERYBODY IS NOT HONEST ... show more

    • Childhood memories!
This brought back so much childhood memories. Definitely worth buying, especially at such a low price. It even has mandarin :) love it! Four stars because the cable connects to tv does not work. I wish it worked properly, so my eyes would not exhaust too quickly. Overall, I love it!
