Device screen stays black when turning it on.
Reviewed in the United States on August 3, 2024 by Disappointing...the device stopped working after a day. Turned it on to check out the user interface and games listed for each game system. Turned it off and the next day when turning it back on the screen stays black. Avoid buying.

I grow up in the 80's and wanted to give one of the retro handhelds a try. This seemed to be a good starting point sense it wasn't as expensive as some of the others I have seen. I was right this is a great little handheld with any of the games I would want to play from the past. It seems to have a pretty good battery last a couple hours for me so far. The only issue I had was trying to figure out how to get out of a game and how to save a game once I was in one, because this didn't come with any kind of an manual at all. But once you are in a game if you press the Start and select buttons at the same time it will come up with a menu. This allows you to save you progress and to quit the game you are playing and home to the next. I would have likes it to be a little bigger because I have big hands. But it was a good starter and I will probably upgrade to a bigger one in the future. Over all I am very happy with it. Edit: I have one change to my review that made it drop to 4 stars instead of the regular 5 stars. After playing with it for a while I have found that sometimes the sound messes up and it sound very electric it seems to happen mostly when I pause a game, then when I un-pause the sound is really weird. ... show more
