I have been wanting one of these for a while now and finally decided to actually get it. I was very happy to be able to measure the wind for a project I'm working on. It's a nice product but has some drawbacks. It's small and lightweight and very easy to use. It takes a constant reading of the wind so you can watch the mph fluctuate in real time. The problem is that on a sunny day the screen is very difficult to see because of glare. I kept having to move around to see the screen, mostly lowering it down to my chest to get in some shade but then you can't get a very good reading. You have to be looking at it straight on and not at an angle. It has a freeze function so you can see the last reading and the high and the low. You have to freeze it to see the last high and low. If you move the unit out of the wind and the mph goes to zero, so do the high and low readings so you have to freeze the data before you can see what the highest and lowest readings were. There is no way to see any historical data unfortunately. I wish there was a way to see what the wind did for the last however long you determined. It's mostly to see real time wind and not for recording the wind for any certain time period. It would be great for golf or for another sport where wind matters but not for gathering wind data. It works great for measuring the current wind speeds but the screen can be hard to see. I definitely recommend it if you only need to know what the current wind speed is.

I like the features of this wind meter. Numbers are easy to read, and the unit is lightweight to hold. This is great for anyone who needs to measure wind speed. The device can be changed to different units of measurement by the "units" button on the front. Air temperature can also be measured in Celsius or Fahrenheit, but it will take a quick check of the small owner's manual to figure out how to change the temperature units. Once found, it's easy to do. A great gadget for outdoors.

I live on the seashore in a community with an active bunch of kite flyers, and we even have kite festival twice a year. I’ve always been able to tell when the wind is calm or medium or high, but having this along, in my pocket, enables me to learn what light medium and heavy actually quantify to be. Ability to better plan which kites to take or which ones to leave, since kites abilities, very based on the design and the strength, is extremely useful. I can’t judge the battery life yet because I haven’t run out, but I’ll keep watching us and see how it goes

Personally have gotten in model rocketry as of late. Naturally it's important to know the wind direction etc to set up the launch pad prior to sending these buggers 1000 feet in the air. Unit does a great job showing the wind speed in whatever direction you're trying to measure. Looks good and works great, big fan, pun intended.

This is a nice little Anemometer, I just wanted something to be able to check air flow of hvac systems occasionally and this was perfect for me to do that, it is easy to use and seems to be pretty accurate
