REVIEW UPDATE: 2022-12-12: After only a few uses, one of the hand warmers in this pair doesn’t hold a significant charge. If I fully charge both of them, one dies out about 1/3 of the runtime of the other hand warmer. If I start both hand warmers at full charge for a short session, then go back to try to use them again a few hours later, the second one won’t even turn on and is completely depleted. This is not acceptable or normal, and therefore as a warning to others, I have chosen to remove 2 stars from my review. UPDATED VERDICT: 2022-12-12: I no longer recommend this product! ### ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW ### INTRO: These USB handlebar-style hand warmers are designed to simultaneously use in each hand for maximum warmth and comfort. They can also charge your USB powered portable devices on the go. PROS: These are the hottest hand warmers I’ve ever used, and they get plenty hot, even on the low setting! You can feel the heat they give off through thin to moderately thick gloves, making them perfect when the outside temperatures drop down to freezing and below. There are 3 heat levels, and as stated above, the lowest setting gets plenty hot — so hot that they can be uncomfortable to bare hand them! Some might say that is a major negative and I might agree with them, if these are your only hand warmers. However, they’re not my only set, and that’s why I love them - they’re perfect when I want/need that extra hot heat for the coldest winter days when I can’t feel my other hand warmers through my gloves. Flexible usage: use these hand warmers in each hand for the best cold weather hand warming experience I’ve ever had, or share the spare with a loved one, or use one until it runs out and then use the other one for longevity. I love that they’re magnetic to keep them held together, both for storage convenience and to make 1 large single warmer when desired. The magnets aren’t too weak that they fail to keep together, or too strong that it requires an effort to separate them. I have other dual hand warmers that come with a single dual tip cord to charge both warmers simultaneously — however, this set comes with two USB A to C charging cords. There is a convenience factor to this, which allows you to independently charge the warmers when they’re separated and potentially in 2 different locations. I did not specifically measure how long these hand warmers lasted, but I can say they lasted much longer than anticipated (at least 5-6 hours), and I would rate them as above-average in that category. When you factor in that you may not need to ever go above using the low setting, these warmers should last you quite a long time before needing to be put back onto a charger. CONS: As stated in my PROS section, these can be a little too hot to barehand, even on the low setting. That’s something you should consider if you’re looking to use these indoors with no gloves on. I only mentioned it here again in case a reader decides to skip down to this section. These hand warmers can be a little awkward to hold given their shape at the top and bottom of the warmer. When wearing gloves, I found this to be less of a problem than when bare handling them. In bare hands, the right angles at the top and bottom of the warmer (that come together when you magnetically join the 2 devices), can dig into your hand a little bit. This is a minor gripe and it doesn’t affect my review rating. REVIEW SUMMARY: I’ve reviewed a ton of hand warmers — I’m obsessed with them! This dual hand warmer set stands out among the many out there because of how hot they can get, and how long they last. It’s because of this reason that I’ve now picked them to be my favorite deep winter outdoor hand warmers. I have described how they feel to others as, “hot dumbbells left out on top of a running radiator, but without the added weight”, that’s how they feel in my hands. VERDICT: I recommend it! IMPORTANT NOTE: I spend a very lengthy amount of time using the products I review, and I often spend even longer documenting them in writing, photos, and occasionally videos, for your benefit. We wanted to get these not only to act as hand warmers, but we also wanted a portable power bank for travel. I have frequently used disposable hand warmers for winter golf. This is my first try with a rechargeable hand warmer. They have a very solid, well-manufactured feel to them. The packaging was nice, and it came with two USB-c cables and directions. I first tried these as a power bank. When these are being charged, it is easy to tell where you are in the charging process. They start with one blue light and go to three depending on the level of charge. I tried recharging a couple of Android phones with them. It took about 2 1/2 hours to recharge my phone from a little under 40% to full. There was still power left in the power bank. I tried again with the power bank on full, and I charged it from 50% to full, and then charged another phone from 50% to about 90%. The phone with USB-C seemed to charge faster. Since this is a two pack, we would be able to recharge both phones twice from somewhere a little over the 50% level. The power bank stayed cool until it was almost empty. We were happy with that for long airplane trips where our phones are in danger of running out of power. I tried it as a handwarmer on a walking round of golf. When using as a hand warmer, you have one to three red lights to tell you how much power you have left. The outside temperature ranged from 34-39 degrees during our round. I used one handwarmer on high to begin with, played a few holes, then changed to medium for a while, and then low. It finally ran out of power on the 17th hole. It was plenty warm on low and would probably work for the entire round if I had reduced the power earlier. Since these come as a two-pack, I would have the option of keeping them on high and using one and then the other. High was not really necessary for my needs. All in all, these are well made and will work very well as both a power bank, and also as a handwarmer.

These have 3 different heat settings which is a nice feature. At the highest setting, they get very warm - not to the point of burning or anything like that, but the first two settings are definitely warm enough to just take the edge off. On a full charge, at highest setting, they lasted almost four hours. I have not run them fully down on lower levels yet, but assume it would be longer. I like having one for each hand, and the magnetic feature I guess is helpful to keep them from getting separated when storing? Not really sure what the benefit of that feature is. My one minor quibble. The magnetic connection is a flat surface, which does affect comfort of holding these. The flat portions are 3.5" apart. I'm an adult male with average, maybe slightly above average sized hands and the squared parts fall into my grip. Not exactly uncomfortable, but I would prefer to just grip a round cylinder. My wife has slightly smaller hands (and maybe fewer sensory issues) and it is not an issue for here.
