But realizing there was two baskets, and they both needed to be rinsed out and then it worked fine and so far it’s still working fine. I’ll keep you updated if anything is different. I got this to replace my Aeropress since my mornings have gotten busier and wanted a quicker way to make coffee. This fits the bill and I love there are no disposable filters or pods. The taste of the coffee is stronger and more acidic than the Aeropress though. If you don't mind a more hands on coffee maker I think the Aeropress makes better (smoother) coffee, but I like the convenience of the scoop and I'm ok with the taste so I've been using it every day since I got it. This is built for Keurig cups and not for coffee grounds. The water passes through very quickly as expected for prepackaged cups. It does not work well for grounds.

It will make a cup from between 8 and 14 ounces so I have the flexibility for different size cups each morning. It is fast and accurate. I like the fact that I can brew just 1 cup fresh every morning, however the water does not get hot enough to really brew the coffee grounds well enough for my liking. I have to put hot tap water in first to get the temp up & sometimes I feel the coffee is not strong enough even doing that. I was thinking about returning but the box got thrown away. This single use coffee maker creates exellent tasting coffee, especially when I use Tim Horton's ground coffee! This coffee maker is super simple to use & much cheaper to use because I no longer have to buy the expensive k-cups! When brewing more than 1 cup of coffee, I simply have to let sit a couple of minutes before brewing the next cup. Height adjusts to allow a travel mug as well.
