First of all, I never write reviews. But as a first time parent, I sought out any and all reviews when purchasing a bassinet for our son. I had such a hard time finding one (per the reviews) that I wanted to purchase. I also heard mixed reviews from friends about the Halo bassinet. Some people said it was too big, other people said their baby hated it. Let me tell you, I am SO glad we purchased this. It took 1-2 weeks for our baby to get adjusted to it, but once he did it’s been phenomenal. We have a very tall bed and it adjust to the perfect height. The side easily folds down which is super convenient to lift him out in the middle of the night to feed or soothe him. The sides are mesh, which makes it breathable and helps with air circulation. I can even gently rock it to get him back to sleep (it’s very sturdy). With all that being said, I highly recommend this bassinet. It has been wonderful for first time parents! ... show more

    • New BassiNest for new baby!
Four years after our first child, here we are with our second (yay)! I went into the garage to get out our old BassiNest Premium only to discover that the screws for the base were nowhere to be found (aghhh). The company didn't offer replacement screws for the old BassiNest - boooo! - so we had to get a new one. We didn't feel like spending $250+ again to we opted for the less expensive BassiNest Glide. It was easy to put together (as long as you don't put it together upside down as the basket comes inverted in the box) with the pieces snapping together with little difficulty and only 4 screws to screw in. It is lighter than the original and easy to move around the house when desired. Raising and lowering is easy as well, with the handle. All-in-all, this is a great BassiNest that comes highly recommended. ... show more

    • Great for acces from beside your bed. Perfect for recovering mothers
This bassinet is amazing. We have it positioned so that it is above the bed. The frame is somewhat bouncy but this is perfect for gently bouncing baby to send them off to sleep. Mattress is comfortable and not too thin. Initial Assembly is not too bad once you figure it out but I can imagine some might find it a challenge (I’m an engineer and I still made a couple of mistakes.....although admittedly I didn’t use the instructions). Only wish the frame was able to adjust a little higher (it is adjustable but I would prefer a greater range of heights). Personally I think this bassinet is worth every dollar, but it is still a bit of an extravagance. It is a dream come true for mothers who need to stay in bed to recover but still want to be able to help look after baby (this was definitely me). ... show more

    • Great bassinet, got our baby to sleep * Update, design flaw
*update on review* I unfortunately had to drop a star because there is a major design flaw on this bassinet. The back panel that goes through the mesh and has the logo on it is not breathable and is in a prime location for a little one to scoot to and press their face against as I learned in the middle of the night. My baby is not rolling or even close just shimmied to the back edge and managed to get her face pressed against the panel. It does not seem to be there for structural integrity only to house the logo so design should be changed for safety reasons. We originally had a different bassinet but our daughter would not sleep in it. We finally decided to purchase this one on a recommendation from a friend and I am so glad we did! We did not have any assembly or issues with it not being level. It glides easily on our hardwood floors and I love that the legs tuck under the bed so that no one stubs their toe on anything at night. Seems comfortable, our baby loves it. ... show more

    • My baby didn't like it, but it's still a great product
This bassinet does exactly what it was built to do, hold a baby safely near your bed. However, my baby hated sleeping in it. I think the padding was just too thin, and she was just too used to our comfy arms. Now this isn't a negative about the product, the padding has to be thin to prevent suffocation/SIDS, I think this product would work great for people with less picky babies, lol. My husband did have a tough time putting it together, so mom's you may need a second person to help assemble it. In the end, it was pretty pricey for only being able to use it a couple times, but if your baby likes it, it's great for keeping them safe yet within reach. Which is definitely needed when they feed every 2 hrs the first week or two! ... show more

    • Best Bassinet and Registry Must Have
I was recommended this bassinet by a friend of mine. When it came in, it was easy to assemble. I also love the look of it and that it was mesh sides so it’s easy to see baby. The collapsed side is awesome to make it easier to reach and tend to baby. It’s light weight and easy to move around. I love that you can have right next to your bed and adjust as need be. I move this bassinet back forth from my room to my living area so my baby can be comfortable all the time. ... show more

It was a little difficult to get together but once we did it has been a life changer. The spring loaded side is so helpful for checking on her and being able to get her out in the middle of the night. Being able to pull it over the bed is so helpful too. The pad it comes with isn’t comfortable so we replaced that but that was the only complaint I have. ... show more

I love Halo! Amazing! The best thing I bought for my baby! If you are on the fence, let me tell ya, do it. Just buy the bassinet. It was easy to put together, it is sturdy, slides great. The side that bends down is the best part, it saves me some nights when baby is fussy and I have to sleep with my hand in the bassinet. It’s very breath able and cool. As I lay in bed I can see through the sides a little so see baby sleeping away. (Unless you put a doc a tot in them, it makes the baby harder to see.) ... show more
