Very good price. They are a little flimsy but with careful handling, they should last a significant amount of time. I started monstrero deliciosos with 11 of 13 seeds germinated. If they only had a water level window and a way to add water to the bottom tray, they would be perfect. I like to water from the bottom on some starts so the root grows down to the water. I left a couple of the chamblers open with no dirt and seeds to add water but still sprinkle some from the top, but just not as much. This gave me a good idea as to the water level in the tray. ... show more

Note that each opening for starting seeds is only 1 1/4 inches square. If you have large seeds, you may want to consider a bigger opening. As I just started to plant my seeds, I can't comment on how well it will work. I do like that it has a base tray to catch water, a see through plastic tray where you put the seed pods and plant your seeds, and then a cover tray with an air circulation vent. You can pull out the see through tray to check for root development. ... show more

I do not write reviews, but I had to on this product. these peat pods and planters are wonderful. I soaked the pods in water, let them expand, placed them in the plant holders, used my scissors to cut the opening ruffed up the soil, placed my seeds, added some water to the tray and let them go. I planted in 2 separate batches to have separate growth time. The plants with the tops off that are going crazy have only been in for 11 days. I had to transplant the cucumbers and zucchini in larger planters due to their growth. very simple to use. I would strongly suggest giving these a try. It will be all I use going forward. The trays work well enough. I like the control you have over humidity by adjusting the vent hole at the top of the lid. However, I disliked the peat pellets. We had tp remove the wrappings from each pellet, and that was messy. I've used other peat pellets that didn't have a wrapping and were much easier to deal with. Once unwrapped and watered, the peat was otherwise fine. My seeds grew and were later transplanted to larger pots. However, I got this kit so everything would be easy and the pellets made it not so easy...and somewhat messy. ... show more
