I use these to trim my hair. They are very sharp and trim well. They are lightweight and easy to maneuver. They came with a little comb for beards. If you are just trimming your hair these will work fine but, for a more precise cut, I would go with another type of shear.

I've been cutting my own hair since the Pandemic came to our area. I have no professional training; got all my limited knowledge from Youtube. I still prefer cutting my hair myself to having it done at a salon, both because of the hundreds of dollars in savings and because I don't have to chitchat or wait until it's my turn. Up to this point, I have been using regular scissors. While that has done a "good enough" job, the difference these barber shears has made is simply incredible! They are smaller than my regular scissors, easier to handle, cut much more easily. Something in the way they are designed seems to keep me from cutting my fingers accidentally while using them. This was not the case with regular scissors. It's my understanding that barbers and hairdressers use very expensive shears and cherish them. These are VERY inexpensive but, so far, I see no reason to pay more for barber shears as these do an excellent job.

Some might consider these a bit heavy, as they do have some heft, but to me that seems to be due to the durable construction. (They are also very "sharp" looking) Love the finish, they operate smoothly, they fit my fingers comfortably, and they work well. If there are any future issues with the finish, construction, or edge retention, I will adjust the review accordingly, but for now they get full marks for form and function. (The comb is just a freebie, IMO. It's nothing special, but it is a functional plastic comb)

There are 6.5 inch stainless steel scissors. After cutting hair for the first time with these scissors they are fabulous. The blades are sharp and easily cuts hairs. I tried cutting numerous other items and it cuts everything like butter. The finger reset makes using these scissors very comfortable for the hand. There is a adjustable tension screw and also a blue rubber handle that is detachable. These are some sharp scissors and for the price it is an unbelievable deal.

I cut my son's hair...self taught, so I have no professional experience. This makes it hard for me to comment on these since I don't know what a good pair of scissors is supposed to feel like, or what are the features that are positive vs negative, etc. I found these a little "tight" to use...but again, maybe that's what they are supposed to be like. I have another pair that seem more comfortable to use because they are not as tight so they cut quicker and easier. I do like the cushioned grips in the finger holes. And, they seem sharp...hopefully I can maintain their sharp edge. Can't beat the price. Totally worth it. But, if you're going to be someone that uses these daily, I'd look for something nicer.

These are a good bargain. They are comfortable and cut very well. They are like more expensive pairs I have. But they also have a little extra shaping on the handle where the middle finger goes. I'm only just trimming with these since I have clippers and the price is really good.

I’m always open to trying new scissors as scissor work is one area that I want to improve on the most. Feel wise, these scissors feel pretty good in my hands. I will note that I’m not an expert on scissor ergonomics but I have had my fair share of cramps while doing scissor work. I will say that the blades weren’t as sharp as some of my other shears and there was a noticeable amount of squeaking when I’m cutting. The squeaking can probably be dealt with through adjusting the bolt but sharpness, I’ll probably have to defer to an expert.
