This thing is fast, handles well, and can go over grass and hills without getting stuck. My family took it to the skate park on a cold day after Christmas and since no one was there we tested it out on the bike track, and it did great. My husband was thrilled with it and when we got back to the car, he saw that it had been on the low speed setting the whole time and he hadn't realized it, so of course he had to change the setting and zip it around the parking lot to test it out. I'm hoping it's durable enough to withstand my soon-to-be 4-year-old handling it (the fate that his previous cars have succumbed to). His bigger RC monster truck did drive over this one with no damage done so that's a good sign. ... show more

My 7yo has been driving this for the last 2 months. It has held up so well. He drives it on grass, dirt, and ice! It didn't fare so well in 6 inches of snow, but that was to be expected. A little disappointed in the battery life but having 2 batteries and how easy it is to swap has helped.

*Update* HAIBOXING came through with the warranty. Originally activated April 3, notified of defective part April 14 (my fault on the lateness), had a replacement M1811 at my house May 4. Down time of about a month, but they mailed it totally free in less than three weeks from CA to MI. Thank you, the fun is back! I feel this car is spot on for the price point. My 9 year old had a blast with this for about a day. Super fast an maneuverable car. True to the description, the battery is good for about 20 minutes. Luckily they do send a second battery, but you may want to stock up on a couple more, they go quicker than they charge. The fun was all gone after 9yo came in crying, as one of the rear wheels stopped working. They send a very detailed parts diagram, and found that part M1811, the Rear Differential Assembly had sheared its connector to the wheel shaft. There's a 6 months free parts warranty valid within 15 days of registering the product. We got it yesterday, writing this review in hopes they come through with a new M1811 Differential assembly. ... show more

Incredible customer service. The steering mechanism began to fail on our car and, long story short, didn't follow through with requesting remedy from the company for a very long time. When we did, they responded immediately, acknowledged the problem, and sent us a new steering servo right away. It arrived, we installed it, and our kid is elated to have his RC car back in prime working order. We documented the problem with a video, fwiw. Anyhow, very impressed with the response time, focus on the solution. And ultimate remedy. As for the car itself, it's fast and fun according to my kid. ... show more

    • They say it's for off road, but....
This should be a five star review. Let me explain.... Out of the box, this car is amazing. No lie. It's a little rocket. Handles great. Goes over small rocks and mildly rough pavement with no hiccups at all. It will even hop itself up a curb. The battery life was great as far as we were concerned, but to be fair we didn't know what to expect since my son and I are new to the RC car world. However.... Once we took it off road to our local bmx track, it held its own fairly well in the dirt. Seemed to burn through the battery really quick(we only brought one), but we figured it was due to the off road terrain. Took it back home, shook some dirt off of it and fired it up to run on the street again. It went down hill quickly from there. Seemed slower at first, not a lot, but slow enough to notice. We took it back in to fully charge batteries and take it out again today and it was done. 4 wheel drive turned in to 1 wheel drive, backwards. 7 days in that was no good, so we're returning it and trying for round 2 Wednesday. I'll update review next week. Fingers crossed as we really like this car. Update time! So, car #2, yeah, it stopped working in one day. I'm still keeping my rating at three stars because when this car works it is awesome. Sadly, we had two bad cars and aren't trying for three.     • Perfect for cats (yep)
I have an odd use case for this car - I was looking for a small RC car that would work on carpet so I could use it to play with my cats by attaching a string to it. This thing is perfect. The spoiler lets me tie a string to it and it's short enough to go under most of our furniture. It's not too big to scare off the cats, so once they got used to it, they love chasing the string behind it. Runs on carpet well. On the high-speed mode it does slip on tile. Even the headlights are useful. And it's fun to drive. So if anyone else is searching these reviews for cats, I say go for it. ... show more
