I am in the State Guard and needed a cot. I had bought a smaller version, and my brother sat on it from a straight stand. He has one like this one, so I assume he thought mine was as sturdy as this one. Long story short, I ended up sleeping (or trying to sleep) on a cold floor after he snapped the legs on it. So I purchased this one. It is very sturdy and easy to set up. The only reason for four stars is that this is a big cot.

Purchased as a spare bed for adult children who pop in for a weekend and plan to use outdoors rather than a hammock. It is really comfortable and easy to set up and move. My only wish it that the pad it comes with also had a storage cover/bag.

The fabric feels reasonably thick, and has a double row of stitches holding it in place. The connections between the rods are metal rather than plastic, so hopefully will be durable. The headrest feels like a stiff air bladder encased in the same fabric. It doesn't seem as wide to me as the pictures, though it's wider than my head so big enough. If I were going to sleep on it I'd want my own pillow. I have used it a half dozen times now for catching a little sun laying flat. I am 5'11" and 225 lbs and it has felt sturdy enough to me and is long and wide enough. The blue corduroy covering was nice and soft the one time I tried it. When folded, it will stand upright on its own without needing to be leaned against something else. So far I have no complaints other than the box was torn during shipping, but the lounger itself was fine so no harm. If I find problems later I'll update my review.

The cot itself is well-made and very stable; however, folded it is very heavy--too heavy for some to carry for any distance, especially on one's back. The mattress looks nice, but it is too thin to provide comfort, especially for sleeping. Because of those things, I took the items to the UPS Store to ship back to the seller. The cot cost me $89 without tax. The shipping and repackaging fee was about $130 for the slowest delivery. I couldn't believe it!! Although I won't be able to use the cot, I took it back home with me. Who wouldn't have done the same? I cancelled the return and will just give it to someone. Not happy about the return!! A good learning experience for sure.
