I bought these for my only window in the laundry room. I thought they would be more sheer and lightweight but they are not. They are thick and substantial. I wanted to be able to push one panel to the left and the other to the right. They push back enough but not completely due to the thickness. But overall, I'm glad they are they way they are. It works out for the room. They do block out the sun which was never a need for me but thought I would share that aspect. I really don't like to order drapes without actually seeing them first,but in this case I was wrong. These curtains are great. Very soft and also room darkening. Come on a variety of colors. I ordered two sets and am panning to get more.
