The knob to adjust the temperature and effect of the light seized up after only a little use. It slowly got tighter then would no longer turn at all. This was only after a few uses.

This is upsetting because the lights themselves are very nice. The problem is that they are only controlled by GVM's app, and this effing app forces you to look at and see an ADVERSTISEMENT whenever you fire it up, despite that I already own the dang lights and do not want to by any more lights. If they fix it and remove their advertisement, I hate advertisements, then I will increase the review. Yet despite the nice lights, I wouldn't have bought these lights had I known the app would force me to watch a 5 second commercial every time I tried to turn them on and control them. GVM << FIX YOUR APP!

My order is missing the 2 lightboxes that were supposed to come with this kit. This was basically the whole reason I bought it as a kit. I have emailed the manufacturer and will update this review when I hear back from them. Update: one of the lights has died after owning it for two days. Confirmed it is the light itself and not just the power supply. It looks like I’ll be sending these back. Update 2: received my replacement order and it also did not come with the lightboxes… Update 3: GVM sent me the lightboxes, which I appreciate. But, one of the lights from my replacement set makes a high pitched whining sound after the light has been on for 10-15 minutes. The sound is loud enough to be picked up by my mic, which means I can’t use that light. This set will be going back to Amazon as well, and I’m not willing to try another set.
