At this price you can not find using the app control These are fantastic! Super portable, lightweight, durable, professional looking, bright, easy to modify, and FUN! The light has two dimmers that allows you to mix the yellow LED’s with the white and color temperature you’re mixing as other LED’s often do. I've used it on every shoot since I bought it, it's so versatile and powerful it's hard NOT to. I will likely order two or three more Second purchase The lights are pretty great for the price! I'm getting the best color lighting. They're not very big but still produce a ton of light. I'm only lighting a fairly small area, so no issue there. The carrying cases are nicely padded to keep everything safe. The stands that come with the lights are not terribly sturdy but work perfectly well for what I'm using them for. I bought this kit over a year ago and have used it in many settings for my professional video needs. It is easy to transport to a shot location and quickly sets up with no issues. The lights are well made and come with a dimmer and option to switch from a warm 2300k light all the way up to 6800k, and in between. The battery option is what sold it for me. I read a lot of the reviews and I went for it. I purchased the GVM 480's and they work great. Came with the barn doors and diffusers. The legs are not the sexiest. They are sturdy enough to hold the lights but not fantastic. The quality of light though is great. I do a lot of video interviews and these lights worked great for what I needed. The case works great and is very handy. You can store everything you need and then some. You will need batteries. Me personally I do not like cords all over the place so the batteries do come in handy. Overall, great lights for quick gig's. You'll be happy you got them.     • I dig this little kit
I've worked with some pretty high-end and low-end kits in the past, and this little kit was surprisingly good for the price. The tripods are a bit small, but they are solid. I'd recommend bringing along a nice set of sandbags to make sure nothing is knocked over too easily. The stands are also very short, so if you need the lights up high, you'll need to purchase different stands. The app control is an interesting touch, but it's honestly a bit cumbersome compared to just going up to the device and moving the knobs. Basically, unless you need to operate your app and camera from a remote location (i.e. you're interrogating a dangerous hit man that's tied to a chair 100 feet away), there's little use for it. The lights themselves are quite versatile, and you can attach gels and diffusers to them if you want. With this kit, it's easy to set up a 3-light interview for one person or a product, or two people side-by-side, but it's not enough for two people facing each other. At this price, though, you can get two kits. I don't care for the logos all over the place, but I do like the velvet bags and the carrying case. The packaging is a very nice touch. The power cables are short. When the short tripods are at their highest extension, the power boxes don't reach the ground. If you're going to use the power cables, I recommend getting some Velcro cable tie system to attach the power boxes to the light stands. I also recommend getting longer cables to go between the boxes and your power strip or outlet. This kit comes with no batteries. I'd recommend some batteries for sure, as it's not truly "portable" without batteries. You'll need two per light. The lights get pretty bright, but not enough to beat the sun. They will add some fill light to a sunlit person. They will overpower overhead fluorescent lights fairly well. ... show more

These lights came in a nice reusable travel bag, which I greatly appreciate. I can lug these around safely. The tripods are not the easiest to work with because you need to twist screws loose, adjust it, and then tighten. The tripods are tall and sturdy, which is the most important part. Finally, the lights are great. They are bright and the color temperature can be easily adjusted. I use multiple lights for taking a video. I am excited to start recording YouTube videos at night. ... show more

I must say I am impressed by these lights. The light output is considerable for such compact lights and the fit and finihs of the product reminds me of much more expensive units I have used in the past. If you routinely shoot in different locations or in on-site scenarios you will really appreciate the padded case!
