  • Better than the stock tuners.
I bought these for the vintage tulip style buttons. I upgraded a Epiphone LP Special II, and wanted the vintage look. These Guyker lockers are waaay better than the crappy Epi tuners. Posts are much tighter and stable. 1-15 gear ratio is just o.k. Lockers are good. Overall I got a better tuner with the look I wanted. I did have to ream out the front bushing holes to accept the Guyker bushing. Not a big deal with a $5 Harbor Freight reamer. Took 10 careful minutes. The Guyker tuner did fit the stock Epi bushings, but they are chromed plastic, so I think it's worth the time to ream the bushing holes to accept the Guyker metal bushings. I recently put some Jin Ho lockers on a tele clone I have, and they are much better built than these Guykers. Price was $7 more than the Guykers, but no tulip button style available. In the end, these Guykers provided the look I wanted with superior feel and performance than the Epi stock tuners. So far I'm satisfied. ... show more

  • Good locking tuners for LP style guitar
I put these on my Glen Burton LP style guitar, to replace the generic vintage style tuners that came with the guitar. It was mostly a 1:1 match, except the bushings were a little more robust than the cheap ones I was replacing. I used a drill bit and manually bored out the hole just a bit and then used a small clamp to push the bushings down flush. The screw holes for the tuner bodies lined up exactly. As for function, these seem to work pretty well. They are just a bit stiff, but there is zero play in the mechanism making micro adjustments super easy. The locking mechanisms, usually a concern at the lower price points, actually worked flawlessly. They seem pretty solid. As for appearance, these look really sharp. I like the graphics on the locking knobs, which I think give it a much more high end appearance. They were packed and organized in a nice box, which I used to store the old tuners. Overall I am quite impressed. If you have an LP style guitar with vintage style tuners, then I recommend these if you are interested in quick string changes and holding tune really well between playing sessions. ... show more

  • Excellent replacement for PRS SE Paul's Guitar stock tuners
Color: Pro - Black - Black Handle
Why did you pick this product vs others?: Excellent replacement for PRS SE Paul's Guitar stock tuners. Retrofitting/reeming is necessary. The screw holes to affix the tuners on the back of the headstock line up perfectly. Hold tune well and changing strings is easy. Also a really nice aesthetic improvement. ... show more

  • Broken Out of the Box
Color: Pro - Black - Black Handle
Out of the box, the one tuner would not lock - the turning locking mechanism came off the back of the main shaft making the tuner useless (see pictures). Now I have 5 tuners working and one that is not - I CANNOT use a different style tuner they have to match. I contacted GUYKER themselves and they would do nothing about it. Is there anything the seller can help me with here? I know it was purchased over a year ago but I took it out of the box like this. ... show more

  • Direct drop in for my Epi SG
Color: Nickel - White Handle
Direct drop in for my epi sg. Also I love sgs with keystone tuners, the stock ones were tiny oval buttons. These feel stiffer than grovers or graphtech ratios but they absolutely work wonderfully and keep in tune. The buttons are a sort of army drab olive green which I like plus my guitar is green so they match. I got the nickel set to match the existing nickel hardware on the guitar. I gotta say I love how the guitar looks with these tuners. Guyker is putting out some neat stuff ... show more

  • Not the best fit for my Gibson SG Standard (2012)
I bought these to replace the stock Kluson machine heads on my Gibson SG Standard. I was looking for something that retained the look of the Klusons but offered the tuning stability of a locking system. The tuners themselves seem solidly built with the usual thumbwheel to pinch the string in place. Your mileage may vary with your instrument but here are how things lined up for mine. 1. The bushing was a bit smaller than the stock. This made it difficult to center the post in the opening. I did my best. 2. While centered (as best possible) the existing screw holes do not quite align with the new machines. 3. The bushing system doesn't have a screw type mechanism that the stock tuners do. The screw type (where the bushing screws into the post) provides a clamping action on the headstock which adds stability. The only thing these have keeping them in place are the two screws. 4. Because of the slight offset due to the bushing size the string tension pulls the machine a bit so it's not level like it should be. In the end I removed these and put my stock tuners back on. I messed with the stock bushings and they helped a bit but the lack of a "clamping" mechanism left me a bit worried about overall tuning and structural stability. If these fit your instrument I think they will be a good option. I took a chance and thought the measurements were close enough. Not in my case. Giving three stars as they didn't work for my application but that isn't necessarily the fault of the item itself. ... show more
