    • Good locking tuners for LP style guitar
I put these on my Glen Burton LP style guitar, to replace the generic vintage style tuners that came with the guitar. It was mostly a 1:1 match, except the bushings were a little more robust than the cheap ones I was replacing. I used a drill bit and manually bored out the hole just a bit and then used a small clamp to push the bushings down flush. The screw holes for the tuner bodies lined up exactly. As for function, these seem to work pretty well. They are just a bit stiff, but there is zero play in the mechanism making micro adjustments super easy. The locking mechanisms, usually a concern at the lower price points, actually worked flawlessly. They seem pretty solid. As for appearance, these look really sharp. I like the graphics on the locking knobs, which I think give it a much more high end appearance. They were packed and organized in a nice box, which I used to store the old tuners. Overall I am quite impressed. If you have an LP style guitar with vintage style tuners, then I recommend these if you are interested in quick string changes and holding tune really well between playing sessions. ... show more

These look good but there is way too much play when tuning. It is harder to tune accurately with these than with the standard Grover tuners that came with the epiphone. They are a good price for a vintage looking tuner but pointless besides the looks. The locking mechanisms fall out easily if you loosen them too far. Not a fan of the rose colored logo on the back either. If you have to take the string off to adjust something you might as well replace them because these will break the strings prematurely if you take them off and put them back on. ... show more

A good friend of mine gave me a LP Gold Top knockoff he had that was collecting dust. It was missing tuning pegs the bridge and tailpiece. I bought all 3 parts and rebuilt it and I now have a functioning guitar. These tuners work good. Checked the tuning the other day and they held tune for the last 3 months. Installation was easy. Quality seems to be good on the actual product. The big issue is the tabs are supposed to be a vintage yellow. The reality is they are gross sickly grey green. If you don't care about aesthetics go ahead and buy. But if you care about getting the product you thought you were buying as it was in the photo, then I would avoid this product. UPDATE: Returned the original product and received the same grey green looking garbage. If you are going to advertise as yellow then they should be yellow. The product looks nothing like the picture. I have wasted a ton of my time on this. Where is my compensation?!? This item should be removed from Amazon as this is clearly deceptive and false advertising.
