Description

Unflippable, Unflappable, Unleakable. World's finest wind- proof umbrella. Tested at the college of Areonautic in Queens NY, will not invert in winds of 55+ mph. Limited Lifetime warranty. 1 umbrella on the PGA, LPGA, and Champions Tours. GustBuster has been featured on CNN, GoodDay NY, Regis and Kathy Lee, Talk soup and many more televison and radio shows. Patented technology allows the wind to pass thru the umbrella, while you stay dry. The umbrella of choice for touring golf pros, the GustBuster Pro Series Gold 62-inch golf umbrella keeps you dry wherever you roam. The umbrella boasts an innovative, patented double-canopy design that shields up to two people at once, along with an all-fiberglass frame with solid, round, rustproof ribs and spreaders. As a result, the Pro Series Gold is capable of flexing with the wind then returning to its original shape. The thick wall construction, meanwhile, is extremely strong yet much lighter than most comparably sized umbrellas on the market. Most impressively, the umbrella is wind-tested to 55-plus miles per hour at the College of Aeronautics, with aerodynamic vents in the lower canopy letting the wind pass through while the upper canopy keeps the rain out. A favorite of PGA, LPGA, Senior PGA, and Nike Tour professionals, the Pro Series Gold umbrella measures 62 inches in diameter and carries a lifetime warranty.

  • Not just for golf...
I don't play golf, but that didn't stop me from picking this umbrella up, as I was sick and tired of cheap 99 cent store umbrellas that would break so easily. This umbrella is indeed huge, but since I carry a laptop backpack with me almost everywhere I go, I wanted something that would keep it dry during the rain, even though the backpack is water resistant. I've been outside in rainstorms with this and it just laughs at the rain and wind. I see other people's umbrellas buckle under storm gusts, even flipping inside out, and yet this thing, with its amazing flap system, stays intact, and I just hear the wind rustle through the flaps. My only complaints are that the handle isn't as comfortable as it could be, and since it's a 62-inch umbrella, it's very tall, and can't fit in a backpack like a mini-umbrella. Otherwise, I love this thing, and its lifetime warranty, and I should've bought this sooner. Well worth the extra upfront cost to save in the long-run, and I won't be smashing any umbrellas against the side of a highway overpass in the rain after it keeps inverting due to high winds. (yes, this happened to me, and yes, drivers started looking at me strangely) UPDATE: After about two years, my umbrella broke. I was able to send it back to GustBuster, along with a check for $10, and got a replacement shipped back to me. The annoying part was finding a mailing tube large enough however, the USPS' longest mailing tube was about two inches shy of being able to fit this umbrella into it. ... show more

  • Great umbrella
Color: Black
This is a well built umbrella proportionate to the elements of weather.

  • Wish they made this with the 'curved' handle - but it's a great LARGE bumbershoot
Color: Black
As title says, I really like umbrellas with the 'curved' handle end to just hook over my arm when opening a door or something with other hand not free. But it is what it is. The vented design works very well to prevent it trying to either invert or "lift" and fly away in crosswind. The size is good. So far, the mechanism works. (Bought this to replace a many year old slightly smaller Gustbuster that finally broke it's little 'latch' so the only thing that would hold it closed was the cincing straps...I still keep that otherwise fully functional umbrella in the car trunk as a backup in case I have multiple people sometime with me and need it in a downpour.) I shouldn't really grade "durability" of THIS purchase, yet. But I thought the evidence of the one it's replacing was good enough to grant it a preview rating. ... show more

  • Solid performing wind resistant umbrella.
Color: Black
I got this umbrella to shield me from the rain and wind in Philadelphia. While it is a little heavier than an average umbrella the wind does tend to go through the ducting (does not let rain in) and is moderately sized to protect myself and my legs when the rain is not being blown around. The fabric seems durable and appears unmarred after 6months of intermittent use. The handle has slightly loosened but with slight tightening of the exposed screw it is back to normal. The construction and design seems well thought out and durable. Clearly the company was trying to balance durability and weight and has struck a good compromise. As with any device, treat it too harshly and I'm sure it will break but it is stronger than most umbrellas I've used and has been very serviceable. I would buy this umbrella again. ... show more

  • Great

Best umbrella ever. Works as advertised.

  • Just as described
Color: Black
I found the umbrella as described . Well made and large enough where I and my lap top bag can get underneath easliy. I wish it had a curved handle as this one is straight. I was not concerned with the plastic tip as I do not bounce it on the street as i did my cheap ones. Sure it 's close to fifty bucks but it is well worth it. I would probably purchase another one just to keep in my other car. I live in west central florida and when it does rain, watchout. I comes down. I was very impressed with it's most recent performance. I would recommended purchasing this one over a twenty dollar umbrella as you will have to replace it soon. This one comes with a lifetime warranty. ... show more

  • The best
I have had this umbrella since 2009 and have used it nearly every time it has rained since then.I have walked to work in storms with harsh wind and have never had a problem. I use this umbrella every time I take the dogs out in the rain. The huge size of the umbrella really keeps you dry! Tonight I took this 62" umbrella out into hurricane Sandy to walk the dogs. With winds gusting up to 70MPH, this umbrella did not fail. It did nearly blow me away however. In winds like this, you MUST keep the umbrella pointed into the wind, not because it will fail, but because you will fall over or lose the umbrella. Several minutes later I came inside from the hurricane and found that I was wet only from the knee down. This umbrella is truly fantastic. ... show more

  • Great Coverage, but...
10-year update: after 10 years of light use, maybe once a month (pandemic decreased umbrella usage), the elastic bands on the top of the umbrella degraded allowing water to spray in through the top and on my face. Closing the umbrella still pinches my fingers. This umbrella wasn’t worth it. Just get a cheap one instead. 2-year update: After using this umbrella for about 2 years the plastic button broke off leaving the sharp top spring button to close the umbrella. After 1 year of use the stitching let go on the velcro fasteners. This umbrella still provides great coverage. It handles fine in the wind. The umbrella was nearly yanked out of my hands during a rain storm. No foolproof protection against gusts of wind. I've used the umbrella 1-2 times per month since 2013. ... show more
