I got this diffuser humidifier I have a diffuser humidifer that I use in my study all the time so I picked up this one to use in my bedroom. This one is a little smaller than the one in my study but I think it will suit my bedroom very well. This diffuser humidifier seems well made. It is very easy to use and the instructions were easy to follow. It requires a small bit of assembly and is ready to use in a couple of minutes. The diffuser can be used independently of the light features. The diffuser light can be used with or without the salt lamp. The salt lamp can be used with or without the diffuser or diffuser lamp. The color of the diffuser light is chosen by allowing the colors to cycle through. If you want to stay on one color, you press the light button when it cycles to the color you want. There is a max water line inside the diffuser which I prefer to my previous one which required a measuring cup. Being able to free pour is definitely a bonus. My one complaint about this item is that it doesn't come with enough salt. The salt doesn't come up to the lightbulb. I've always had salt lamps where the bulbs were encased in the salt before and have always expected the salt to be covering the light source. With the amount you get here, the bulb is bare with salt below it. (see picture) Overall, its a pretty nice little thing. It is easy to use and has lots of options. The media could not be loaded. Every product I’ve purchased from Nanda I love! This salt lamp oil diffuser is the most cutest diffuser with so many feature's. I’m so glad I made this purchase cause out of 3 other diffuser’s I have (not Guru) this one’s my favorite one.

The media could not be loaded. I love the beautiful design, it diffused my guru Nanda essential oils beautifully, changes colors to create a relaxing environment in my home. I love that the Himalayan salt releases negative ions into the air to help improve air quality.

    • ok diffuser for small spaces
I wanted another small diffuser for the office and this fit the job just fine. The "salt lamp" feature is useless and just makes the interface more confusing. Salt lambs have been debunked many times but even if you personally think it does something for you then I doubt this will do it. The light is above the salt crystals and is very weak, I have a hard time believing this will do anything to anyone and mostly spreads direct light into the room from the light that isn't shielded by anything that diffuses the light. Maybe if they provided more salt crystals they would go high enough to cover the lightbulb. The interface is somewhat cumbersome since there are 3 buttons, one for turbo mode, one for the diffuser control and one for the salt lamp light. I am now using just the middle button for the diffuser and don't really see a point in the top turbo mode button. Ignoring the 2 annoyances above, this is a great small space diffuser and looks quite stylish and I like it and plan to keep using it in the office. ... show more

I filled up most of the reservoir of theGuruNanda Saltair Essential Oil Diffuser and added several drops of spearmint essential oil. I put it on the intermittent diffuser function. After 6 hours, the reservoir was finally running low, so I changed it to continuous diffusing until it turned off automatically when the reservoir finally dried up in hour 7. The scent filled up my entire living room and I could even smell a bit in the adjoining rooms as well. It doesn't drip and the noise level is very unobtrusive. The Himalayan salt lamp and color changing function is a nice bonus! If you do want to use the color changing light, it seems the bulb for the Himalayan salt lamp also needs to stay on. I do like that you have the option of slowly changing colors (my favorite), a single color, or even no color and just use the salt lamp on its own. The plug does not have a third prong, so it’s easy to use in any outlet. I also appreciate that the plugs are ETL tested, important since this is meant to be used for a long time. I've been using Guru Nanda products for quite some time and I love all of their products. I also have the older version of this diffuser, but love the look of the salt lamp so I knew I wanted this one too. I think it's pretty. There isn't enough salt included to cover the light bulb completely, but it's still really pretty. I like the color changing feature. There are 2 modes as well: Turbo and mist. The turbo is used if you want to emit a lot of smell quickly. After 5 minutes, it automatically switches over to mist mode and the unit will shut off once the water level gets too low. This is great for a small room and it's really cute on a night stand. The directions do say to use only with Guru Nanda oils. ... show more

If this had been just a salt lamp or just an oil diffuser, I probably wouldn't have ordered it. The fact that it does both makes it a space-saving purchase. And it also has a colored light on top! I found the GuruNanda Saltair Lamp easy to use after reading the directions, and it produced a pleasant aromatherapy mist that made a noticeable difference in my living room with just a few drops of essential oil. I didn't need the light function since I use this during the day, but it would make a great addition to a bedroom if you have a partner who doesn't mind the scent. It would fit in well in a nursery as long as it is out of reach since it offers a soft light in various colors. I took a star off because the lid that holds the water and oil for aromatherapy does not latch on in any way. It simply sits on top of the diffuser, so if it is knocked over or moved, the liquid could spill out easily. Other than this, I really enjoy this lamp and will be using it often. ... show more
