This RC looks awesome. It has this mean machine look to it, the speed of the truck is definitely good for a kid to enjoy . Good traction on all kinds of terrain. The turn radius of the vehicle is extremely wide, so you will have to initiate a bunch of Y turns, especially if you're operating this truck in a tight space. The battery life is really good, which gives a kid ample amount of time to enjoy themselves . The physical body of the product is made up of above average plastic, so you have some durability and longevity in case this product endures some minor rough situations. I would recommend this for a child between the ages of 5-10. IF this RC vehicle were to be modified with additional speed, I am pretty confident that this RC product would be enjoyed by adults as well. The media could not be loaded. Guokai is not a company I'm familiar with in the RC arena. However, they put together a pretty nice, economical RC crawler. They tried to make it look higher quality by adding screws to the body to hold stickers on, but the economical quality shows with the scale of the body not in line with the powered parts of the crawler. Most noticeably, the spare tire is not the same proportion/size as the rest of the crawler wheels. The crawler is not fast (not sure how the other guy did made it look that way with a partial battery charge), but scoots around as quickly as in my video with a full charge. There are 2 lithium batteries that allow the crawler to be used for the better part of 40 minutes. The steering is not precise, but what do you really need that for in a econ-class crawler. Everything is well packaged, and all batteries and tools needed to make the crawler work are included. Overall, it's a good package for an economical RC crawler. If you're expectations are in the right frame of mind, I would recommend this for younger kids. ... show more

My son has ALWAYS wanted a remote control car. I have always been hesitant because other parents, that I happen to be friends with, always have their kids’ remote control cars break almost immediately after purchase. I just never felt like throwing my money away when I didn’t know it would be a somewhat solid investment. You never know with toys. I had a friend get this and, I love her, but her son is ROUGH with toys. It survived so I figured I could give it a try. It has been so sturdy! It is fairly uncomplicated and needs little direction to use. (I hate buying toys that I have to help my humans play with them. It annoys me to no end). This review is for the "1/14 4wd Rock Crawler Red" (since they just group all the different cars together - how annoying) It has a very plastic build quality. Th size is about medium. The controller is gun shaped. Overall it's a basic RC if you like the look of it or not.

The monster RC car is built sturdy and medium size that a young boy will love to play with. The raised suspension makes it maneuverable in rough terrain. The wheels are big with texture/tread that won't slip/slide on the surface. The chargeable battery seems to hold the charge and power the motor for enough time. The gun shaped controller is little tricky for turning the car but you get used to after a while but a traditional controller that uses 2 thumb would have been better. ... show more

This may be a great deal for an RC crawler in the $40 range (and there is an extra 30% coupon), but personally, I did not like the body style that much. However, this little rascal packs some power and it's fun to drive for my 7 year old. It takes roughly 3 hours for a full charge that would last just over an hour on average. This RC truck is awesome! First off, the truck feels very well made and doesn't feel cheap. It has a good bit of weight to it and the overall design is very nice, too. During my time with it, I took it in the mud, dirt, rocks, small puddles, and even sand. It performed very well in these off road conditions and no damage was done to the truck. The transmitter feels a bit plasticky but that's to be expected with these types of RC trucks. Just be careful with the transmitter and you should be fine. The transmitter uses double A batteries which are not included and it does seem to last a good while before draining the batteries. However, that will all change based off of how much you use it. The RC truck uses a rechargeable battery to operate and they include a charger with it. The battery does take a few hours to fully charge and I was averaging about 15 to 20 minutes of run time per battery. This varies so much due to how much you are using it and how you are using it. The truck is pretty fast for an RC truck so just be aware when a kid might be using this. The truck can definitely take some bumps and hits, but at these speeds, misuse could cause some damage. All things considered, this RC truck does work as described and is priced very well, too. It's fast, powerful, and really fun! At this price point, you can't go wrong for a 1:14 scale RC truck and this one absolutely has my recommendation! ... show more
