Description

Here to help you write your own story—the P-240 Memoir. This small-bodied parlor guitar is built with a solid spruce top and mahogany back and sides with a sleek, gloss finish and a 12 fret-to-body neck. Compact but powerful, the P-240’s tone is clear and bright–perfect for finger and flatpicking. The mother of pearl rosette, vintage-inspired Guild Script Logo and slotted headstock pay homage to the classic styling of instruments from the 1920s. The P-240’s sound is instantly familiar and, despite its small size, full and precise—almost as if its tone has been perfected over years of fireside strumming and family jamming.

  • Great sounding parlor
I love this guitar. The fit and finish are terrific for this price point. And it sounds and plays great. I have this guitar sitting out, in a stand, and its become my go to instrument. I have more expensive guitars, but I keep them in their case to protect them. This guitar is ready to play whenever I want. Only two negatives. One, the fretboard was insanely dry. I applied several coats of Dunlop Lemon Oil and the fretboard became beautifully dark and healthy. Two, the action is a bit high near the body for my tastes. My plan is to take a couple millimeters off the bottom of the saddle the next time I change the strings. But even with these two issues, I highly recommend this instrument. ... show more

  • The name on the headstock does not guarantee build quality.
Horrible tuning keys, fit and finish lack attention to details. This is not a very good guitar.

  • Good service, questionable quality
Item looked terrific but truss rod was apparently either broken or jammed. Item returned. Rated three stars because of the ability to return, otherwise would be a 2 or less.
