I just got these for my 2 year old for Christmas. We sat down to play with them and I was surprised by how much we were able to do. We stacked them, made pictures like a boat by laying them out on the ground, looked at how the colors mixed, and rolled the circles on the ground. We have the Melissa and Doug wood block set and it is pretty big. These blocks were a lil bit smaller than those pieces but they are really cool to us and worth it. We set some up in a window to see the color shadows throughout the day and my toddler likes looking through them. Adds another fun aspect to the wooden block building. The Guidecraft JR Rainbow Block 40 Piece Set are a great gift for toddlers! They make great quality products, especially their blocks! We have a few sets. This specific set is great for gift giving, adding to your already expanding collection or for a first time Guidecraft block builder. They're incredibly durable, they have been dropped after building very tall towers in my house, on our hard wooden floors, by my 2 year old. He's now 3 and the blocks are holding up great. We will have these for a while. They're see through and awesome to look at. We like to put them up in our bay window in neat designs and watch the sun shine through them, use them as binoculars to see an area with different colors and they've also been a camera.
