I purchased these cute Guess sandals because they have the trendy, chunky look that I see so often lately. The soles are thick with the Guess logo embossed on both the sides and bottom. This adds a fun touch. The straps are soft and supple, not stiff like I might have expected. There is a cute gold “G” accent on each ankle strap that coordinates well with the metal pieces that connect the straps. Both the heel strap and ankle strap have Velcro and can be adjusted to create a more comfortable fit. The toe is square with rounded edges and follows the shape of your foot. The sole has a light amount of cushion to it which is fairly comfortable. These sandals look cute with so many summer outfits, everything from cropped linen pants, jean shorts and even sun dresses. I was really hoping these would be my go-to footwear this summer. Unfortunately I have bunions near my big toes. The shape of the sandal accentuates my bunions, which makes my feet look even more unattractive. The toe strap rubs on the edge of my bunions, so after a few minutes I could tell these would become increasingly painful to wear. If you are fortunate enough to be bunion free, give these a try. They could be your new favorite sandals.

I contemplated the purchase for a long time the sandals is beautiful. But I did a test walk in the house for a day and man the straps are so sharp on the corners of the big toes and where the metal rest on the top of feet. I'm so disappointed I bought some padding hoping it will not rub so much. I will try walk in it another day when my bruises are heeled and see how it feels with the pads. I'm hopeful that with enough wear it adjust more to my feet. Or I might change my mind and return it.

I am seeing many versions of this sandal by well known brands at major department stores. Guess has elevated this style by adding their signature logo on the strap and embossed on the soles. This has a square toe with a band across the top of the foot that is not adjustable. The ankle straps offer two points of adjustability to get a custom fit. The leather- like upper is very soft and durable and should hold up well and can be wiped off as needed. The insole offers a slight amount of cushioning, but the sole is a soft rubber offering plenty of shock absorption. I chose the 7.5 and that’s my usual size and they fit perfectly. However, I find the strap that goes across the foot at the toe could cause issues for those with slightly wider feet, as it’s not adjustable. I really like the Ivory color as it’s neutral and versatile & will look nice with many outfits. My husband likes this style and said they look almost like tennis shoes from a distance. They truly are an elevated athletic style sandal. In regards to ease of walking, it may require an adjustment period to get used to the chunky sole to avoid tripping.

These are comfy, cute, stylish, sturdy (and hopefully durable)...I could probably think of a million different words to describe how much I love these shoes, but I'll stop now. I ordered a 7 (my usual size), and they fit perfectly, so I can definitely say that they are true to size. I have relatively narrow feet, so I appreciate the shape of the shoe, as sometimes my feet feel like scuba flippers in wider sandals. The strap is a nice touch as well, because I was able to adjust my shoes throughout the day as my feet swell from walking. They are a heavier shoe, but I feel like a lot of the popular styles these days are, so it doesn't bother me. I think it's one of those things that you just end up getting used to (but I will say driving in these and any heavier sandal is definitely a learning curve). I think for $109 (or the sale price of 70ish dollars), this is a pretty decent sandal, especially for a popular brand like this. I can sometime be pretty cheap but I feel like with this sandal, you get both quality and the brand. One thing, that I really loved, is the design on the sole of the shoe. I've never seen anything like that and I felt like it really elevated the sandle while providing some good grip at the same time.

A little bigger than I thought. My she size usually runs a woman's 10-11 in this style I should have chosen the 10. Luckily the straps are adjustable and I could make them a little tighter. For me, these shoes are better with socks. After a neighborhood walk I did not blister, but I did feel the strap wearing into the top of my feet. It was better wearing my socks. I do believe the quality is good. they have a thick bottom that raises my height and they do weigh more than my other sandals. The stitching, and Velcro are good quality. The faux leather's color is consistent, there is no fading or variance.
