My son wanted to upgrade the video on his PC so he could play 'Call of Duty' or some such game which requires pretty capable graphics specs. I got him this for Christmas. Installing it was like installing any Windows PC add-on - you have to make sure you have sufficient room in the case, the appropriate 'slot' for the card, a way to connect it to a power source - i.e. a spare power connecting cable - and that you have the proper monitor cable to connect to the available ports of your monitor. If you know a fair amount about PC's, you can install this; if you're not very well schooled, have someone else do it! After I got the correct jumper to connect power to it, I installed the card, connected the power, and fired up the PC. It didn't take too long for Windows to detect the card; it then downloaded and installed the appropriate NVidia GTX1060 drivers and software to make it fully functional. My son can now play his video game and it all seems to be workings as we had expected. This seems to be fully the functional equivalent of the NVidia GTX1060, and at less than half the price so it's a very good value. ... show more

saw a couple posts referring to not having cords....you must replace the PSU first, was easy to hookup was a little large for my motherboard had to unhook a mini sata from the motherboard to the dvd burner to create room but was worth it, graphics are great gaming and video, was plug and play, downloaded drivers and app from the nvidia website, worked perfect with it ... show more

    • Easy to Install on HP Envy 75-510
A lot of the out of the box computer towers have integrated graphics, but the HP Envy I have still had the ability to add a graphics card. Drivers automatically installed after a quick scan from windows. It was all zoomed in at startup and then quickly fixed itself after the automatic driver install. I believe it is using the same driver for the NVIDIA Geforce 1060 card if you would like to manually do this. So dont worry that there is no driver in the box. It is a good price for what you are getting and likely manufactured in the same place as the name brand GPUs. ... show more

    • Does not display BIOS but good when Windows Loads
does not display BIOS. Installed the card in an existing Win 11 Pro system... MSI B550M Mortar Max AM4 mobo, EVGA 650 W G7 fully modular PSU, Ryzen 9 5900X. The system initially had an Intel ARC 750 Limited card which is quite long and heavy. System is being used for internet surfing and simple tasks. Not sure how I'm going to access BIOS. I did replace the funky stickers on the fans with NVIDIA stickers. Covered the front bezel with a 1/2" glossy tape and every thing looks uniform. ... show more

The card is defective. Three months into using it, the visuals get distorted and the computer shuts down without warning. Now the audio is failing too.
