  • So far so good, I will be updating this monthly for the next 6 months.
Color: Black Size: No Footrest
Update 9/16 Everything still seems pretty great. A little creaking here and there. A quick bit of maintenance in tightening a few fasteners. Cushions are broken in nicely. I spend several hours a day in this chair comfortably. It is still quite hard to lean the chair back. I'll need to focus on breaking that part of it in. Update: 8/1 Everything is holding up quite well, the cushion on the bottom has broken in a little bit, but it definitely has not flattened out in any noticeable sort of way. There are a couple of things to note though, 5 weeks later. I did have the re-tighten the bolts going into the chair back after I spent a few hours with the seat back reclined. Nothing major, just 1/8 of a turn, but as I said, I'm now 293 pounds, so that's to be expected. Next time I have to tighten them up, I'll put some LocTite on the threads. The other thing is that the resistance to rocking back is still quite high. I expected I'd have broken in the spring by now and it would rock without much effort. So far this isn't the case. I'm certain it'll become easier at some point, but for now it's considerable effort to rock the chair backwards. Still very VERY happy with the purchase. Original Review: So, this arrived 6/26 despite an estimated delivery range of 7/1 to 7/8 so that was a very pleasant surprise. Delivery via FedEx was superb. Everything was packaged nicely. Everything inside was secure, and nothing was damaged. Instructions were included and were very well done, no vague photos and poor translations to be found here. All parts were accounted for, and all the screws / caps etc were packaged separately and labeled clearly. It really made it a breeze to make sure I had everything needed before I got started. Assembly was, for the part, easier than I've experienced with other similar products. I will say, one of the sides of the backrest, the holes to attach to the bracket were misaligned. It wasn't huge, I didn't strip screws or skip one, but it took a significant amount of struggle to force things to line up long enough to start the screws properly. Other than this small issue, the rest of the assembly was quick and easy. I am experienced with building things and had I not struggled with that alignment issue I'd have easily been done in 15 minutes or less. On to the good stuff. I am 6'3" and 302 lbs as of writing this. I find the chair to be incredibly comfortable and ergonomic. With typical racing style chairs, the side bolsters and bolsters on the seat bottom tend to dig into my ribs and thighs respectively. I selected this chair because seat cushion didn't appear to have high bolsters and the measurements were generous. I wasn't disappointed. I can sit basically spread legged and my thighs don't have bolsters digging into them, and I don't even hit the arm rests. I saw some reviews mention poor cushion on the bottom. It's quite comfortable for me, but it is quite firm. This means it should last a while, but if you're very light weight it may feel a bit too firm for your taste. The arm rests are awesome. They look in the photos like they're hard but they're cushioned. Comfortable. The levels of adjustment up and down are wide ranging. When you attach them to the seat there is about 3/4" of adjustment room in or out. This lets you set them a bit further apart if you are a larger person like myself, or inside if you aren't. I attached mine very wide, but ended up having to move them in closer anyway. I didn't need the extra 1.5" after all. The lumbar and neck pillow honestly feel a bit cheap. Certainly not the same material as the rest of the chair, but they do their job for sure. The lumbar pillow is quite firm and the neck pillow is quite soft. All in all, nothing to complain about. The fabric is much more breathable than the PU leather on my previous chair. Visually it looks great, the casters are smooth, the recline function works well, and the adjustment for the rocking feels really good. All in all, I was skeptical about buying a gaming chair at this price point. They tend to get squeaky and start coming loose quite quickly, and being as heavy as I am (even heavier when I bought my previous chair), the cushion tends to wear quickly. I will continue to update this review once a month for the next 6 months. Will give a good idea on how well it ages that way. ... show more

  • I Like It, But Have Discovered It Has a Tendency to Tip Forward, & Here's Why...
I like my chair. To make it more functional, I purchased a set of LIFELONG brand, in-line skate styled wheels and replaced the dual-wheeled plastic casters that came with the chair. The chair rolls very smoothly on the faux wood floors. To make it more comfortable, I placed a memory-foam pad on the seat, and bought a set of Aloudy brand memory foam armrest pads to cover the hard plastic arm rests. Anything made of plastic will dry out over time becoming brittle, and prone to cracking. The arm rest pads make the arm rests far more comfortable, and will reduce the chance that the plastic arm rests will break anytime soon. I am 6ft, 3in. tall and weight roughly 205, and not typical of gamers who play games for hours on end. I do not use this chair for gaming. I work from home about 8 hours a day, doing a lot of work on the computer, often typing for hours. I get up a lot several times each day I am working. Because I type a lot, I sit farther forward than most people that are gaming. And here is where the tipping forward becomes reality. Because I sit farther forward, when I get out of the chair and am not careful about how I do it, the chair can tip forward. This is due to the way the chair is designed, and where the pedestal that attaches the base of the chair to the base of the seat, is connected. The pedestal on a typical office chair will be attached almost dead-center to the seat base, which places the center of gravity of a person sitting properly in the chair, at the center of the seat. I have discovered that the pedestal of this gaming chair is attached a few inches farther back on the base of the seat than where the pedestal is attached to a typical office chair. I believe this is due to the chair being designed to recline farther back than most office chairs will recline. The pedestal attached farther back moves the center of gravity of someone seated in the chair, farther back on the seat base. With the pedestal attached farther back on the seat bottom, there is less chance that the chair will tip backwards when someone reclines the seat all the way back. HOWEVER, when sitting forward on the chair as I often do when typing, the chair can start tipping forward when I scoot the chair towards the desk. This is due to my weight being farther forward from the center of gravity than the chair is designed to support. My wife unfortunately found this out today while sitting in the chair. She was not aware of how the chair is designed, and while attempting to get out of the chair fell forward out of the chair and the chair tipped over. She was not hurt. But I doubt she will sit in my chair again. As graphical evidence of my claim, please see the attached pictures. The first picture is a typical office chair. Note that the pedestal is attached roughly 1 to 2 inches behind the center of the chair seat. The second picture is the gaming chair that this review is for. The pedestal is attached roughly 3 to 4 inches behind the center of the seat. Other than that, I like the chair and can deal with the issue of it tipping forward. I know that there is the potential that the chair could tip if I am not careful. I am not an engineer, but I know about center of gravity, and how a structural design can affect where the center of gravity of a chair might be as in the case of this gaming chair. If you got this far, I hope you have found this review and the information contained herein, to be helpful. ... show more

  • Good Fabric Gaming Chair for the Money
Color: Dark Size: No Footrest
Compared to other chairs that have a similar price, this one seems to be a winner. There are a few negatives which really hold back on this being a 5 star review, but at the price point you can't do wrong. The chair has really good support and adjustment for people on the 'smaller' side. If you're a larger person, this chair might not be for your due to the rather tight support. The included lumbar support cushion is great, but the headrest pillow always feels a bit too low due to my height. Even when I get it into a nice position, it seems to either slide or move around whenever I move. The armrests are nice and have a lot of height adjustability, but are pretty wobbly for this price point. If you're an arm aimer that doesn't use armrests all that often this isn't a big issue, but trying to aim while they wobble around isn't the easiest. Overall, for the price this is a great fabric gaming chair. ... show more

  • Solid basic chair
Color: Black Size: No Footrest
Has a good range of motion and is easy to assemble. A lot of reviews online talk about poor build quality, but while this is definitely not a premium quality product, I have seen nothing that made me question the integrity of the chair. The cloth fabric is a great alternative to the leather, the only downside is that the armrests are in an awkward placement to where your arms don't really naturally sit on them. If you are looking for a good begginer racing style chair this is the one for you. ... show more
