This gaming desk is basic, but the surface is a nice extra touch. It has a metal frame and the typical engineered particle board wood. The extra hooks for headphones and the outlets are a nice to have and makes life easier. Fine for teens.     • Nicely designed, some difficulties with what I received
This desk is nicely designed, with the monitor stand giving extra space for other needed items on the desk below. It is heavy and sturdy and the lights add interest and fun. Unfortunately, the desk I received looked as if it had been purchased and returned. It didn't have protective material around some of it and had marks on it, some of the hardware needed was missing and the box was torn up with big holes and seemed to have been re-taped with extra tape (this was so obviously not just a "this got beat up in shipping" issue due to the way this was missing protective packing and other components, and where the holes, rips and extra tape were located, which is upsetting.) This desk seems to be well designed and attractive and would be good for gaming or a home office, I just wish that mine had been in better shape and more carefully packed. ... show more

Both of my sons are gamers so when their desk had gotten worn out I needed a good quality one to replace it. The design of this desk is excellent. It is very sturdy. I was able to assemble it by myself, which is saying a lot. You get a huge value for your money with this desk. It looks like it is a much more expensive desk than it is. I love that there is a place for them to plug in their devices as well as the pretty lights. The finish is excellent as well. They have spilled drinks and it just wipes right off.
