I tend to use a lot of these because not only are they good for light duty fencing around my garden beds, but they make excellent plant stakes. They come in handy with a variety of uses. In spring everyone seems to be out of these so I turned to trusty Amazon and there they were. They cost a little more, but I expect that because there's no free magical shipping fairy and I understand that. They came quickly and in perfect shape, no dents, bends, or beating. They're a nice weight and thickness without being difficult to manage. They go into our sandy loam ground pretty easily. They have holes and hooks that make it easy to attach (3 foot tall) wire fencing or gardening twine. The nice bright green blends into the yard and garden with a neatness and consistency that makes me feel good about the purchase. So far, I've bought 2 bundles, and I imagine I'll be buying more at some point. If you take care of them, they can last indefinitely. The same can't be said for wooden or plastic stakes.

I ordered these to set up a pole bean trellis (hoop shaped) and they were super easy to set up. The ground is sandy so the only issue was random tree roots. My pole beans are covering the entire hoop and it looks great. I set up a second hoop trellis but with 6 foot posts and both work great.

I have bought 2 other garden stake packs like these. This one is the best for sturdiness and usability. Good strong point to go into ground and top cap is also useful. They still bent a little when my large dogs jumped over the fencing but my grass is protected from them for the most part. I did use strong steel stakes periodically to add stability to these plastic coated metal stakes. The zip times included were useful and a good bonus other stakes did not have. Will buy again. Easier to install in wet ground. Good value.

It is not at all made of genuine thick steel. Instead, it is made of ultra-thin iron sheets, with absolutely no structural support. Just a light tap on the U-shaped groove causes it to permanently deform and collapse. The genuine thick-specification heavy piles I used before never experienced this kind of situation in the same type of rocky soil. Moreover, even a slight breeze causes the entire row of piles to shake violently, making me feel that they are completely useless and have no load-bearing capacity at all.
