Perfect for Gift Giving
I’ve named him Jiminy after Jiminy Cricket. He sits on my kitchen fireplace mantle. I think he really likes it there 😊 This is a nice size cricket for the fireplace. It is sturdy, solid, and shiny. I enjoy telling the story of what he stands for. I also want to add that I display this piece year round - not just at the holidays. This is a piece that will last a lifetime. The legs actually move which allows you to adjust how he sits. It was packaged nicely and suitable for gift giving.

Delightful gift
Everyone with a new home--or an older one for that matter--needs a cricket on the hearth (or shelf) for luck and good fortune. I purchased this one for my son and was so pleased with the size, the finish, and the overall quality. So was he. It's a very attractive muted brass, and the designs are nicely highlighted. It's sturdy and beautifully designed. Couldn't be happier with this purchase.

Good luck cricket!
This is a great item for a housewarming gift since it’s suppose to be good luck to have a cricket in the fireplace.

Solid brsss
This little cricket is solid brass and adorable! I bought it for my daughter’s new house to put on the hearth. It’s supposed to bring luck and prosperity.

Defective
I ordered these for a gift paper weight but the leg on one was crooked and would not sit flat. I could not give as a gift. so I put them on my patio in a plant> All was not lost they look good out there!

When this little guy arrived I was very pleased. One of the back legs were loose, but I simply tightened it & gave it a good polish & off it went to my friends "new home." She was so delighted to receive it & immediately place him on the hearth. P.S. you don't need a fireplace/hearth to enjoy this cute guy-he looks adorable any where you put him. If you added a card explaining the meaning of the cricket, I would give you 10 stars! Once you know the meaning of the cricket, people would give him as a gift for so many occasions-not just for a "new home." Thanks, loved him. KB
