It clearly says in the instructions that you should insert one rod in the garden and then build up each hoop by stacking connector then rod then connector, etc... It is not clear why you should do this until you don't do it that way and the reason is gravity. The rods are held in place only by the tension when you bend the hoop. If you try to build the rods and connectors on your work bench and then carry them out to your garden, I guarantee they will fall apart all over the place and you will mutter under your breath, even though it's your own fault for not following the instructions. Once installed and bent into hoops, they seem solid, although they have a significant amount of "bounce" to them due to the fiberglass. The clips included fit over frost fabric (not included) and hold it securely. Due to the type of plastic the clips are made of, I think they will only last one winter before cracking and breaking. If they do break, I will go back to using the metal binder clips they sell as office supplies. The rods are fiberglass and the connectors are metal. I think they should prove to be fairly durable.

These put together well and I love that the joints are galvanized. The last set I had included plastic joints and they failed half way through the season so I have high hopes for these. The clips that hold the fabric down are plastic though so I'm assuming they will not last. Other than that, 5 stars

The plastic included with this item is nice and thick and clear. It's a decent amount of plastic for us to cover a couple of our raised beds. I have some winter cabbage growing right now and when I covered the bed the kit worked pretty well, although if you are looking for anything to hold up under snow or ice this won't do the job. We had a light snow shortly after I covered the beds using this kit and the hoops fell sideways and the plastic flattened under the pressure. Most of the clips to hold the plastic in place flipped off under the weight and it was barely an inch of snow.

This greenhouse support system is a bit flimsy. The poles are about 1/4” in diameter and connect together with metal couplers The couplers slip on loosely and will easily fall off. The only thing holding them together is the tension once staked into the soil. The clips to attach your greenhouse plastic are a snug fit onto the poles. Not all would squeeze over the layer of plastic onto the pole, but I managed to get some on there. The snug fit is keeping the plastic secured to the poles so that’s good. I like that you can customize your width and height by using more or less poles. I do wish the stakes were more substantial so it would stay securely in the ground even in the wind. I have the 5 pole suggestion giving about a two foot rise. I pushed the stakes a good 6” into the soil . I’m making it work with an additional rope for support. I think these would be best suited for a small garden bed.

I always decorate for Christmas. I'm "the more lights, the merrier" kind of person! When I spotted these replacement arches for a greenhouse, I thought that would make the perfect Christmas tunnel I've been wanting. So glad it doesn't come with the plastic sheath that goes on these poles because I would have thrown it away. I chose to make a small lead hole with a screwdriver to ensure I didn't break a piece - they are made of sturdy plastic, however, connections are chrome. They fit together with ease! You can make a tunnel with all arches the same size or add another pole to each new arch and have it progressively get bigger. The arches are sturdy enough to hold Christmas lights. I chose to twist the string of lights around & around each arch so I wouldn't waste money on having to use a bunch of zip ties to hold lights in place. My lighted tunnel turned out perfect. Exactly what I had been wanting to create for 3 years. 5 stars.

I have a 4 ft high deer fence around our lilac plantation. The deer will eat anything this time of the year and did eat the lilac buds earlier on. The fence stopped them, but the cross bars holding it apart stopped me. I have used the hoop kit to keep the fence apart and provide an arched overhead that I do not need to to the Limbo Rock to get past. I also have a cover that will sit over the hoops on really frosty days in early spring. My fence is Amazon chicken wire, 100 ft that never saw a chicken, 5 ft garden stakes (Amazon) and this hoop set. The fiberglass is strong and flexible, exerting tough force to do the job. The pieces clip together securely and they were an easy attach to the stakes using Amazon supplied zip ties.

The box included everything it said it would. The items seem to go together properly, and it looks like it will work in my garden next spring. I plan on putting the structures up to place a clear heavy duty tarp over them so I can make a greenhouse out of my raised bed garden.
