  • Fair Price & Easy to Assemble
GrowMate Walk in Greenhouse is a good size for me since I’m a beginner. I wanted something that wasn’t permanent and easy to maintain. Once I opened the box, I knew it wouldn’t be hard to put together. It’s build-by-level. Goes a lot faster with two people. It comes with a contents list and the metal poles are labeled. The poles are neither thick or thin and are lightweight. I have to add sand bags to secure this to the ground because the wind can be really gusty where I live, and I don’t always trust the tie downs in the dirt. If the wind gets a hold of this, I’m not thinking it will fair well and if it does, I hope my neighbors will return it lol. However, this is great for me because it serves its function. Also, it’s not unsightly. This being in the $75 range is decent. One of the things that would make me recommend this most is to see how long it will last, especially through the winter. For right now, I’m happy with it and hope to be able to update this review after some wear and tear. ... show more

  • Great for Beginners
GrowMate Walk in Greenhouse is a good size for me since I’m a beginner. They are easy to assemble and disassemble, but if you take them apart and put them together too much, the plastic joins do have a habit of warping and breaking. I was expecting this greenhouse to be bigger but it's still a good size for the number of plants that I will be using it for. ... show more

  • Good greenhouse
I think I was expecting this greenhouse to be bigger but it's still a good size for the number of plants that I will be using it for. It was easy to assemble and appears to be relatively sturdy for what it is made to do. Yes, I would be concerned about it being outside in a strong storm, but otherwise, I think it will hold up fine. ... show more

  • Keeps the critters out
I got this to use with my edible plants that local critters (deer, bunnies, gophers) like to share. These types of greenhouses aren't intended to keep plants alive through the winter in colder environments and I've noticed some rain seeps through. However, it works great for starting new seedlings and for my tomatoes, peppers, and green beans. The structure is easy to assemble, especially with two people. I don't think it would last more than a couple years, but for the the price it's a great way to see if this is something I'd want to have around more permanently (a greenhouse). ... show more

  • Nice instant growhouse for those that need a quick setup
—— What I liked —— A useful product for someone like me, who is new to greenhousing, without a huge upfront investment. —— What I didn’t like —— The greenhouse is a little wobbly on its own. —— Additional comments —— I think this is great if you are just getting started and want to set up a greenhouse. For me, it's my first time building a garden with edible vegetables so getting this greenhouse for me was perfect. It's lightweight, can be moved virtually anywhere, and was really easy to setup. ... show more

  • Love this
This is my 2nd walk-in greenhouse and I love both of them. The 1st is still standing, I just needed a 2nd for more plants. I love these for starting and hardening off seedlings and starts. For early-spring/late-winter greens, I just start the seeds in trays and leave them in the greenhouse, with the door and widows zipped to trap a little heat, but those plants don't care for a lot of warmth. For everything else, I bring in my heatmats, my clamping plant-lights, and outdoor extension cord, and really high-quality surge protectors. These structures are sturdy if you use the tie-downs or place them near a solid structure like a house, garage, or shed. Mine are on the west side of my garage, on my deck, so I can't use tie-downs. They are easy to assemble and disassemble, but if you take them apart and put them together too much, the plastic joins do have a habit of warping and breaking. The poles can rust when/if water gets trapped around the joins, which it will, so if you pull the poles out, you risk exposing the rust and degrading the poles. I suppose you could try and tape off the joins, making them sturdier, more durable to the elements. That's your call. The shelves are wire, with decent strength, but I suggest using trays to put your plants in/on to distribute weight better. I added chicken wire and hardware cloth across the bars and under the shelves to add strength. I also added chicken wire and hardware cloth to the roof suspension to keep the cover from drooping and pooling with all that PNW rainwater. The zippers for the main door are crappy, no being nice about that, so be gentle with them. The tie-offs to hold the rolled up door are not attached very well. I have to use a safety pin to keep the roll up. The velcro for the window vents is crappy, too. If you pull the window vents up once, good luck getting the vents to resecure. The cover is SLIGHTLY water permeable, and definitely air permeable. It does not retain as much heat as you'd think, so using it as an over-wintering shelter does still require you wrap and frost proof any plants that are cold-tender. I largely put my plants that don't enjoy the 6-9 months of rain between the autumn equinox and summer solstice in these greenhouses, but still wrap them with frost blanket since they are cold-tender plants. Overall, these are great for any gardener needing a sheltered place for starts or tender plants and need a less-than-permanent structure. ... show more

  • Easy to put together
This is a nice starter greenhouse. It was easy to put together and looks nice once it's up. It definitely needs to be anchored down so it doesn't get knocked over with the wind. I'm not sure how it will hold up in Florida during the rainy season. It doesn't come with any hardware to anchor it down so keep that in mind. The joints don't fit tightly so I'm afraid that a strong wind will just make it fall apart so I'm tempted to glue them together so they don't come apart. Overall, it looks good and is just what we currently need to keep our plants protected from the deer and other animals that keep getting in our vegetable garden. ... show more
