I notice the first week was fine but then after the timer I set for 12hrs long kept on turning off earlier. For 20$ is an ok light I luv the green color of the pole. But the timer was a must for me to have I need it for my indoor plants but i’ll take whatever light it gives me I notice is like 3-4-5 hours max n it turns off then I have to keep turning it on again. Is annoying but whatever I guess if I get another one it might be the same since other reviews say the same thing. ... show more

    • Timer wonky but otherwise good
I got this for my aloe plant for my north-facing window. The timer function does automatically turn the light on for a certain amount of time and then off, but the time it's off doesn't seem to follow a 24 hour clock. I have it on for 9 hours so it should then be off for 15, but it seems to turn back on earlier and earlier every day. It's in another room so not a big deal when the grow light turns on at 3 am, but just something that I'm not sure how to fix. It gives the plant plenty of light, it's easy to set up, and it does the job well! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I never owned a grow light before 2 years ago, I had a lime tree that I was trying to keep alive over the winter and it needed a lot more light than I could get it inside my house so I bought one of these sets and WOW, did it make a difference. The tree actually not only lived but thrived during the winter under these lights with the timer set for 12 hours a day to imitate sunlight and the timer never missed a day or any lights burned out. I should mention that if you have power outages you might have to reset the time if it gets too off center. I should also warn that it IS important that the plants have a "nighttime" so you don't want to give it too much light or it might harm but these are some of the best ones I have read about so 5 Stars for a great product that is doing what it promised me it would do. I should mention what a great quality tripod they enclosed with these lights that will allow you to place them anywhere between 1-4 feet high ... show more

Every easy to set up and fits nicely in tight places. The legs are a little wobbly if all the lights are on one side as mine are, but you just have to adjust the rotation a little. I put my light behind a shelf in my office, and it hasn’t tipped over or anything. The adjustable height is very convenient, and the timer is reliable. The only thing I was hesitant about was the truth of the light output. When I used my light meter, I only got a significant read (“high light output”) when the meter was 1/2 inch from the bulbs. Any further than that, my meter read almost no light output. It didn’t gradually change the further away I got, it drastically changed—went from no light to high light. Even when I adjusted the light settings on the light itself, the light meter didn’t really change. With that said, I’ve used this for 3 weeks now on a 12 hour timer on high light output (in both red and blue) in a windowless office that only has the fluorescent lights on when I’m there, and the plants haven’t died. So I’m gonna say the light is doing it job. I only used low light plants under it just to be safe, and so far, they are doing good! Will update this if anything changes. ... show more
