I found that I needed 2 per pen. Would buy again for sure! I used this with and without some grout repair that I also bought on here to revitalize and clean up my shower stall. I have a marble tile foyer and the grout had yellowed over the years I’ve tried every cleaning product but you need to be so careful with marble I used this pen and whitened the grout and it looks amazing Did no harm to the marble You must wipe the excess off the marble immediately and it is a lot of work but i am so happy it turned out so well

For some reason we have 1/2" wide (large) grout lines in our bathroom. I bought the dark gray to go with our white tile, because white grout gets so dingy. It was very easy to apply, but it was very hard to avoid getting it on the tiles. And unfortunately, it was hard to get straight lines after applying. Hindsight, I would have taken the time to apply a painters tape to help get crisp lines. I could tell after the first application that some the paint wasn't evenly distributed, so I'll do a second coat (with taking the time to put down painters tape). Unlike others, I only used the tip it came with, never having to replace it. And I only used 1 pen (on a single pass). I DO like the ease of use and the overall look. I think it's a good short term solution for us, then we will replace the tile in a year or so. If we entertained more, I may be a little more embarrassed as it's the guest bathroom. I did try to wash off excess paint from the tile as I went - and it just made a big mess and took off the paint from the grout. So, I tried to use a scraper and it didn't work, then I tried a little soap and water which ended up taking the paint off the grout and tile, and finally I found a reviewer said they used a magic eraser and THAT worked. It is a pain staking task no matter how you're doing it. So, spend the weekend to get it done - preferably the weekend before guests arrive so you can get as meticulous as you want with your lines & color.

I recently received the Sealer Paint Pen with the hope of addressing some chipped and missing grout in my bathroom shower. Unfortunately, I was disappointed to discover that this product merely colors the grout white with ink instead of providing an actual repair solution. This outcome was not in line with my expectations or desires for a product marketed as a tile repair sealer pen. As the saying goes, if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. While the pen is easy to use, and the white color effectively covers up dirty grout, it falls short of fixing the underlying problem. Overall, my experience with this product was disappointing, and I would not recommend it for genuine grout repairs. If you're solely seeking a quick color touch-up, it might serve that purpose. However, for those needing to address damaged grout, I would suggest exploring alternative products that offer more comprehensive solutions.

A little backstory of the before picture. I recently moved into my house and the previous owners had painted the grout white (the original color being grey). Since this section of tile is at the front door and in a high traffic area, the white paint faded where the most foot traffic was. When cleaning the grout, more of the paint would disappear and it was just a huge eyesore to me. I looked at reviews for many products wanting the original grey grout and to rid myself of the white. There wasn’t many examples of the grey so I knew I’d be making a review of this one. First of all, you need to know that this a labor of love and you truly get what you put into it. The pen is thick even at its thin angle and will not perfectly fit between most tiles. That being said, it cleans off of the surrounding tiles when wiped with a damp cloth. I also took a toothpick to the edges once completely dry to remove any access paint I missed. For this area, I didn’t have to change tips because you don’t need to press hard. I also have a lot of extra paint left in the pen and didn’t have to crack into the 2nd one in case I need to do touchups, which is great. The cap to the pen isn’t tightly secured so I don’t know how well it would be to re-use an opened pen at a later time. I’ll update this review when I try. I’m also curious to see how the paint stands the test of time! Very happy with the color and the results. I would purchase again.

We purchased an older house with plans to renovate over the next year. The kitchen counters are white tile and the grout was dirty brown. The cabinets and counters are one of the last renovations we will make so I purchased these to attempt to make the kitchen less of an eye sore for the time being. With little expectations and nothing to lose, I cleaned the counters and began. The counters are about 68 sq ft. I did 2 coats with 3 packs and have some left for touch ups. The results are impressive! These counters went from outdated and plan gross looking to looking new, clean and modern. I actually kind of like them now! After cleaning the grout line with the brush included. I did my first coat along each line. My grout lines are thinner than the tip so a small amount did get on the tile edges. I waited 20 minute then ran a rag up and down all edges to remove the pain on the edges. It came off the edges very easily. The grout lines looked great after just the first coat but there were a few spots the paint didn’t settle into well. 2 days later I did the second coat and the coverage dried perfect. It has been 3 weeks now and the grout is still perfect. The grout lines have not been affected so far by cleaning the counters, spills ect. A great way to spruce up old dingy grout lines!

It was extremely easy to use and made my grout clean and fresh. I bought white and made my beige tile pop with a smokey white going thru. Never saw that before! Can't wait to finish the other 2 rooms. Easy clean up .
