For under $200, you're getting a solid guitar with some nice features. First impressions are that it's a unique guitar with relicing. It's a matter of taste but I kinda like it, and I don't have to worry about scratches. It's also a matte and not glossy finish, which makes it even better for me. The neck is nice! It's all satin - all comfort and speed. It's a little thicker (but not fat) than a regular Strat so it's great for those with bigger hands. I have small hands and have no issues. The fret ends are rounded! You don't find many guitars in this price range (or under $1,000) that does this. No sharp ends makes it more comfortable to slide and do a thumb-over technique. It's a flat enough radius that you can play with speed, provided that you get it set up. Action was good out of the box and was playable as is. It's always a good idea to get it set up though. Tuners are actually pretty good even if they're not expensive. They kept my tuning pretty well and I have no plans to replace them. Pickups are fine for entry-level players. They're not hot but they're usable. In this price range, they're suitable as budget pickups. There's also a contoured heel so that you can play in the upper registers a little more comfortably. You usually see this with more expensive and shredder guitars. Oh yeah, the body is basswood and lightweight! This is 7lbs which is slightly below the average weight of a Strat. That makes it more comfortable over the long run to carry and play. Overall, a good guitar for the money. ... show more
