Not good for hand held shower. The shower head does not swivel. Hose coils and kinks with every twist and turn of the shower head.

This is the second hose that I purchased from Amazon in the last 6 or 7 months. I had purchased a Grohe hose and had it for over 20 years and it finally wore out so ordered one from Amazon and it only lasted 4 or 5 months. Very disappointed. Had to order another one. I should have returned it. If I have problems with this one I will return it. The hose does not seem to be very durable. If the hose is a Grohe product it is very poor quality. ... show more

This product works as intended, however, it does not have a swivel. In time, the metal breaks away from the hose, due to use in the shower. I have had several surgeries and have to sit in the shower. Some places are unreachable without bending the outer metal covering to the point of breaking. Obviously this is no reflection on the seller, but manufacturer. ... show more

These truly are crap. First one installed by pro plumber when we remodelled and added this bathroom, fancy Grohe fixtures from plumbing supply company. Lasted from 2004 - 2011, seven years. Second one purchased here on Amazon in 2011, just broke, so under seven years. The new one I purchased was $36, so that's about six bucks a year. You're not really buying them, it's more like you're renting them. It needs a swivel on both ends. I tried putting the swivel at the wall, where it fails, but that means that the longer tapered fitting that's designed to go on the handheld shower head and fit in the adjustable slide up and down holder is in the wrong place and then the handheld doesn't ft so good in the holder. I ordered this Grohe Shower Hose on February 6, 2011. I received it quickly and installed it in my shower and it was working fine. Today, Tuesday, April 12, 2011, I was taking a shower and the hose burst and water came spewing out all over the place. It was a mess. Of course, I immediately called Amazon Customer Service and explained the issue to them. Because they have a 40 day return policy on defective items, they said they could do NOTHING for me. And they were adamant. Even after I said what a good and loyal Amazon customer I was and reminded them of all the money I spent through Amazon and that I would never buy another thing and they lost me as a customer, they would not do anything for me. So my complaint is not only with the Grohe shower hose but also with Amazon. The shower hose should not burst after only two months. And Amazon needs to be more flexible with how they handle returns. ... show more

    • This is a poorly manufactured item
This item lasted for just 2 years. It was the second time I had ordered one in the past 4 years. The flexible hose element tends to crimp and break the internal rubber hose. This can result is water throughout the bathroom.
