  • Grizzly Mill
I wasn’t sure that I wanted to spend the money on a milling machine am I sorry I waited. This little mill is built well and cuts true. I have used it every day since it was setup to run. Perfect for my basement shop.

  • The unadjustable part of the column for the Y axis was off by .022”
The media could not be loaded. This thing looked great... i unbox it and try to tram the head to make sure it was good and on the x axis was dead nuts spot on, the Y axis however is completely un adjustable and was off by 0.022” out of tram. With no way to adjust that I’m going to have to take this pos to work and deck both the head and base to get it to sit straight. After i took off the head to take to to work i see grinder marks over the bolt holes that the column bolts to. I’m not positive this was the cause but its definitely not an acceptable way to let something leave a warehouse. Period. Now i have to deck both parts because of i don’t this piece of crap will be a $1400 waste of money i have ever bought. Now i see why they listed this to sale on amazon am not their warehouse. I only bought it because it came with the asurian 4yr warranty or i would have went with something different ... show more

  • Order from Grizzly not Amazon
Mill showed up damaged. That ain't the fault of Grizzly it was the freight shippers. The problem is they will pick it up but won't replace it because it's ordered through Amazon. They will only refund me. This is a hassle that i could avoid just ordering if from Grizzly. It's cheaper to order direct from Grizzly. ... show more

  • Poor quality machine, poor quality components
So, a gear decided to break on the inside of the headstock. That’s fine, I figure, I was planning on replacing it and the other interior combo gear with steel ones. I start pulling apart the headstock, and finally got it down to a point where I thought I’d be able to take it apart. Come to find out by that point, the back of the headstock is welded/brazed onto the front side, making the only avenue of accessing either of the gears inaccessible. Now I’m out a mill, the money it cost for the mill, and the gears I was intending to replace the broken gears with. Edit: finally managed to get through the brazing of the headstock and got to the gears. Turns out some of the bearings are free floating and those ended up falling out, spilling the ball bearings all over the place. God knows where those went. As well, found a key was bent from the factory and now the arm for the gear change lever is also broken after trying to switch out the gears and reassemble it. I’ll be contacting my bank for a refund because this is absolutely ridiculous. Nothing that costs this much should be this difficult to fix, nor should pieces just shatter when attempting to reassemble the thing. I’ll be posting this review for this piece of trash everywhere I can since I’m sure grizzly isn’t going to let an objective review of their import garbage go on their website. ... show more
