Well-made garden tools with handy extension handle

You can tell the tools in this Grenebo gardening set are heavy-duty before you even open it, just gauging by the weight of the entire set. Much more robust than some of the individual gardening tools I have accumulated one by one over the years. And, having the entire set as a "system," with everything in one case and each tool fitting into the same extension handle, makes it much easier just to grab the set and take it to where you're going to be working rather than having to assemble a bunch of tools separately. It also makes it less likely that individual tools will get misplaced. Each tool is easy to snap in and out of the extension handle, locking in place firmly until you release it by pressing the black button on the handle. The handle not only increases your reach, but also your leverage, so you can accomplish each task with less effort. A back-saving innovation compared to the small tools you usually buy where you have to crawl around on your hands and knees to use them. The storage/carrying case is sturdy and laid out clearly so that it's easy to see where each tool goes, so you can get them back in place quickly and easily when you're done using them. My only small criticism of the case is that the two latch mechanisms are attached with tabs and you can inadvertently pull the entire mechanism loose from where it is attached to the case when you are attempting just to open the latch. It's not a big problem, you can just snap the mechanism back in place, but it seems that if you did pull these loose multiple times they might not stay in place as firmly. I may just put a drop of super glue on each attachment point so only the latch swings and I won't accidentally remove the entire latch mechanism. The gloves that come with this set are well made and stretchy enough that they seem as if they would fit people with a fairly wide range of hand sizes. Nice to have an extra pair of work gloves that fit right into the tool set. Looking at all you get here, as well as the quality level of the tools, this set is a good value for the money.

The case and tools seem nice from the first glance

This case seem nice. It comes in a hard case that clips shut, which I do like, and it is easy to carry around. On the inside each tool house it’s on little area that it pops into which is nice so everything isn’t clunking together. And each piece, then pops into the handle part. Upon first glance, they seem to be well-made heavy and sturdy. When I use them on my pots, there was no issue however I could not say whether doing any heavy duty work would they hold up?. The gloves that it comes with her OK again for light garden work I wouldn’t go doing any heavy pulling of big roots or anything like that. They were great to work around with my Potts and for small gardening things they are not extremely heavy duty however it was nice that they came with plastic dipped gloves so I was able to use them a little bit more than regular plain dollar gloves because of the plastic dip coating but again I wouldn’t do a lot of strenuous work for it overall, so far with what I have used it for I have felt that it was a great little set. However, if you have someone in your life, that is a serious gardener, these tools may not be the best for them. It would be hard to say as I’ve only used it twice so far. I do think that it would be a great gift for somebody that has a smaller garden or does patio gardens or maybe even for someone just getting started

Amazing tool set for gardeners!

There are very few items I get that I am excited to tell friends about. This is one of them. When I got this set I was just hoping for some gardening tools that would last for a while and help make life easier. I did NOT expect this! Now, before I gush I will note that the closures on the case popped off when I first opened it. While normally I would take off a star for that, I just can't in this case because I am so impressed with the product itself. The case is wonderful to have (and the closures popped right back in) but these tools are what makes this 5 stars. My hubby and I are retired. I have a broken arm and am tiny. But we just had a French drain put in off our patio and had to dig 10in deep trench to run the drainage tube out 8 ft into the yard for excess water. I laughingly told hubby I would do it one armed. AND I DID! I can't believe how tough these tools are, how easily they dug into our rock-hard soil AND they pulled out our hideous weeds at the same time. It took me less then an hour to dig that trench with one arm and no help. I am no longer just looking as these as gardening tools. They are BEASTS. They are now my favorite tools for the yard. The handle attaches so easily and every tool head works so good. I would absolutely recommend these to anyone who gardens or does yard work. They are great.

Tools better than expected for the price.

This is a multifunction garden hand tool set, which is nice to use in a raised garden bed. There is one extension handle supplied, as well as the four tool ends. You can use them without the handle. Should the handle break. It is it is made of plastic and has a locking tab present on it would you push in when you’re inserting your tool head and release when it’s inserted.The case is plastic and I had one tab fall off with the initial use. I was able to restore it, however it did cause some distortion to the case. The tools are of moderate quality. There was a recommendation to prevent rust by applying a thin layer of vegetable oil or light mineral oil to the metal surfaces following drying and advises to reapply if spots appear. He said also includes a pair of gloves.The tools are actually better than I thought they would be for the price. If you were using it in the ground, you’re going to be kneeling or sitting. So the only advantage is a slightly longer reach for the crack cleaner, hoe, or rake/cultivator type attachment. There is a card inside indicating 24/7 live chat access and a 12 month warranty program. For the price this is a relatively nice deal. It would probably make a nice gift or a casual gardener. At the <$40 price point I can give this 5* as a value set. If it were $10 more I would drop a star.

Bad design, worse workmanship.

As an avid gardener, I'm always looking for new and interesting ways to improve the capabilities my tools afford me. Regrettably, I don't think this set added any, and if you're looking for a set of tools to start a garden, then this probably isn't what you want. Let me explain. The instant I received this, I decided to open it up and take a look at my new tools. Both latches immediately broke off of the case, so we weren't off to a good start. After that, a small cascade of tools descended from the side I had decided to lift, because the case does not actually retain the tools in place. This makes storing the tools back in the case after use a bit of a pain, since the tools on the side you try to fold over will always fall out of place, and block you from closing it easily. Let's talk about the shovel. Why did someone thing a trowel with holes in it was a good idea? Who has ever looked at a trowel and gone "Wow, you know what this really needs, a bottle opener. And how about some hex wrenches too!"? I haven't, and now I find myself puzzled as to how I'd move something like sand or perlite with it. The weeder is sort of pathetic. 2mm thick is, admittedly, thin enough to get into a lot of cracks. Unfortunately, it's neither curved enough nor sharp enough to effectively cut and/or grasp anything. The hoe is... alright. My only concern is that all of these tools are clearly stamped 2mm steel, which, despite what the manufacturer would have you believe, is pathetic. For the tool edge, it might be fine, but not for the shank, which will permanently deform should you attempt to use it for... I don't know, cutting soil? Digging planting trenches? Flat stamped steel is a very, very poor shape at resisting that kind of load, which is why most actual hoes have a reinforced shank that screws onto the blade. The cultivator is maybe the one tool in here that I actually can't complain about. It's perfectly adequate for the job. The extension handle is a good way to bend or break tools made out of weak material shaped poorly. The gloves are... adequate. I know from experience that you can get a much better set of tools on this very site for less money than this costs. I'd steer clear if I wanted effective tools that are going to last.

Helpful Tools, Cheap Case

The tools themselves in this set are definitely useful, seemingly sturdy, and great for gardening. I am a bit concerned about their quality, and curious to see how long they will last (will update after they have gotten a good amount of use in). At first, I was stoked that they came with a little carrying case, as that was not shown in the listing at the time that I ordered them. However, the latches are the case are suuuuper poorly designed, and they both came off the very first time I opened it up. They can pop back on easily enough, but the hard plastic is bent and turning white from the pressure, showing that it might break soon.

I’ve been using this almost every day for my fall planting

Ever since I got this set, I’ve been using it almost every day while working on my fall planting. I’ve had quite a few things to clean up, move, and plant outside, so these tools arrived at exactly the right time. What I really like is how versatile the set is. I’m not constantly going back to the garage looking for another tool because I can handle several different little gardening jobs with what’s included. The tools feel very sturdy when I’m actually digging in soil. Nothing feels flimsy when I put pressure on it, which is important because garden tools that bend the first time they hit harder soil drive me crazy. And I LOVE the extension handle. That has probably been one of my favorite parts because it gives me more flexibility depending on what I’m working on. The carrying case is also convenient because I can put everything back together instead of leaving random tools around my yard. This has been getting a lot of use at my house. durable and sturdy garden tools assortment

This garden tool set is perfect for the backyard gardener that doesn't need full sized tools. Four tools are included with a storage/carrying case as well. The tools include a trowel, cultivator, hoe, and a weeder. Each tool has a specific job to accomplish. Also included is a handle as these tools are interchangeable with it as well as a pair of garden gloves. Having interchangeable tools cuts down on the storage needs of having four separate tools with handles. The tools and handle easily fit int other case for easy storage and transport. The tools are made of a thick durable metal that is not easy to bend. The quality of the handle to top notch as well. The size of the tools are appropriate for use with raised garden beds. The tools are also acceptable for use on the ground as well in flowerbeds and such. With careful use, these tools should last through many planting seasons.
