I had never assembled an LDPE Adirondack chair like this, and this seemed like an interesting product to evaluate. DESCRIPTION Despite the product box’s scruffy appearance, the chair parts were in pristine condition. The box contents are shown in a photo. As shown in a close-up, the installation hardware and rudimentary tools are mounted on a bubble-pack card. Since access is through the back of the card, I found it useful to label the openings on the back so that I could avoid continually turning it over to check part numbers, thereby risking spilling parts out of the openings. A ten-page instruction manual is included that has pretty-good assembly instructions and a nice diagram showing how to fold and unfold the chair. ASSEMBLY I have lots of comments about assembling the chair. First some general ones - * As can be seen in my photos, I assembled the chair on my front porch. At every step I risked dropping a washer or nut and having it disappear into the cracks between the boards to a place that’s almost impossible to get to. I didn’t lose any parts, but no extra hardware is provided with this product and it wasn’t smart to assemble it where I did. Don’t be like me. Pick a spot where it’s impossible for parts to be lost. * Although a T-handled hex wrench and a stamped open-end wrench are provided with this product, assembling it with these tools would be a hapless and annoying job. You really need a ratcheting wrench with a 13/32” or 10 mm socket and 5/32” hex bit on an electric drill. I’ve included some photos illustrating their use. * Some screws are supposed to slide easily through predrilled holes to be screwed into something on the other side. I found that the predrilled holes were perfectly sized for them to fit through except for one arm piece. The predrilled hole was too small at one end for some reason. I found that a 15/64” drill was the perfect size for drilling out the constriction. Now some specific comments, most illustrated in photos – * It would obvious to most people, but some might not notice that the holes on one side of the front rail are countersunk. When installing the rail be sure to insert the machine screw from the countersunk side. * If only one person is assembling this chair, when it’s time to attach the arms to the back lean the back against a wall to hold it in position to align with the hole in the arm. * The instructions for Step 5 say, “No need to overtighten the locking blocks.” That’s because both ends of the block have to pivot when the chair is folded and unfolded. To make sure that all slack was taken out of the junction I tightened the two ends of the block down until firm contact was made, then backed off just enough to allow pivoting. * The cup holder – a special situation: Screw #7 that attaches the cup holder to the arm is a special one. It has a threaded section and a smooth section with a smaller diameter than the outside of the threads. The threaded section of the screw is NOT intended to slide smoothly through the hole in the cup holder. It must be driven through without widening the hole with a drill first. If you widen the hole to make the screw slide smoothly through, the hole will be too large to fit the smooth section of the screw that the cup holder pivots around, which will cause it to wobble. The manual warns about the cup holder wobbling but doesn’t say why. It just says to contact them if it happens and “we’ll make it right.” You can avoid this problem by not making the hole any wider than it already is. USE The back of this Adirondack chair is slightly curved, and both Mrs. Engineer and I find it more comfortable that flat-backed Adirondack chairs we’ve tried in the past. The Amazon product page says it will hold 350 pounds, and from its materials and the way it’s put together I have no reason to doubt that capacity. The chair’s foldability is a big plus but there’s a small learning curve involved with folding and unfolding it. The last page of the manual provides an excellent stick-figure diagram showing how those process should be done. PRICE Searching on Amazon for “folding Adirondack chairs” I find most of the results have prices higher than the price of this item at the time of this review. I consider this product better-than-average value for money. CONCLUSIONS This chair comes with a good manual, went together smoothly and is strong and well made. It’s comfortable and is good value for money. I’ve given it five stars. I’m in the process of upgrading and replacing some of my older patio and outdoor furniture, and this Adirondack chair turned out to be one of the best additions so far. The GREENVINES folding Adirondack chair is visually stunning, very attractive, and highly functional at the same time. The bright red color really stands out and adds a pop of personality to any patio, deck, poolside area, fire pit setup, or backyard gathering space. What impressed me first was the overall design and construction. This chair is made from HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene), which gives it the look of painted wood without the maintenance headaches. It’s waterproof, weather-resistant, fade-resistant, and designed not to rust, crack, peel, chip, or rot. That makes it ideal for year-round outdoor use, even in challenging weather conditions. Comfort was clearly a priority in the design. The curved backrest provides excellent support, and the extra-wide 4.35-inch armrests make it easy to relax for extended periods. The hidden slide-out cup holder is a great touch and keeps a drink within easy reach without affecting the clean appearance of the chair. The upgraded pinless folding design and reinforced front legs provide a very stable seating experience with no noticeable wobbling or lifting. The dimensions are well thought out and provide plenty of room for comfortable seating. The chair measures 30 inches wide, 31 inches deep, and 35 inches high. The seat width is 20.1 inches, seat depth is 18.1 inches, and seat height is 15.6 inches. It weighs 29 pounds and supports up to 350 pounds, giving it a substantial, sturdy feel while still being portable enough to move when needed. One of my favorite features is the folding capability. The chair folds quickly into a compact footprint, making storage simple when you need extra space or want to tuck it away for the season. It would also be easy to transport for camping trips, lake outings, or other outdoor activities. Assembly was straightforward thanks to the clear instructions and included 304 stainless steel hardware. Only partial assembly is required, and it can be completed fairly quickly with basic tools. Maintenance is equally simple, with just an occasional wipe-down with soap and water keeps it looking great. Overall, this chair combines excellent workmanship, thoughtful functionality, attractive design, and long-term durability. Considering the quality of the materials, the folding design, the built-in cup holder, and the overall comfort, it is reasonably priced and offers very good value for the money.

These Greenvines folding Adriondack chairs are literally the only way to go when looking for Adirondack chairs. The ability to fold these chairs up while not in use or for winter time storage is a huge game changer. A lot of Adirondack chairs being sold today do not fold and are a pain to store when its time to close the pool for the winter. Most of them do not even stack or nest on top of each other either. So if you are like me and store your patio furniture, folding Adirondacks are the only ones you need to order! This chair was super easy to assemble and it only took me about 20 minutes. All the stainless steel hardware and all the HDPE materials are clearly labeled with easy to follow instructions. No additional tools are needed as they are all included, but I did use a pair of pliers of my own just to speed up things versus using the included wrench. The chair is made out of an HDPE plastic type composite and will resist any rot from being left out in the weather. The color goes all the way through the material, so it should also resist fading while being left out in the sun. The chair is also fairly heavy so it should not get blown around in the wind compared to the cheaper plastic chairs. Adirondack chairs are pretty comfortable, but I would highly recommend that you also order some sort of chair cushion to fit. Trust me, it will make the comfort level ten times better. It even includes a fold out cup holder for your summertime beverage of choice! Overall, I'm extremely pleased with this Adirondack chair! Based on the quality, ease of assembly, long lasting HDPE material, and the price point, I consider this chair an excellent value and a great addition to your patio or poolside furniture!

This foldable beach or patio chair is crafted from real wood, renowned for its high quality, precise fitting, and functionality. The package contains many separate parts, which might seem daunting, but assembly is straightforward and typically takes about 30-40 minutes. While the manual offers detailed instructions, it's wise to double-check the fittings before tightening the screws. Avoid overtightening, as most joints are moving parts. Once assembled, the chair folds easily and has an excellent finish and appearance with no issues. The retractable cup holder is suitable for cans or water bottles, but cannot hold a mug with a handle. It has one fixed position and remains comfortable to sit in. The overall quality is excellent, promising durability and long-lasting use. All edges are well finished without any sharp points or rough sections. Although it’s heavier than a plastic chair, it provides a solid feel with no wiggling, ensuring stability and quality.
